Bad Bunny has ignited speculations of a rekindled romance with his former girlfriend, Gabriela Berlingeri, being spotted together on multiple occasions. Their nearly 5-year relationship ended in 2022.
Bad Bunny has been all over the headlines lately, not only for his recent Super Bowl halftime show but also for allegedly rekindling romance with his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Berlingeri. Just when fans thought the former couple had moved on for good after three years apart, they found themselves back in the spotlight with the start of 2026. Just days after making history at the Grammys, the Puerto Rican rapper fuelled fresh speculation about a possible reunion with Gabriela.
Just ahead of his historic performance at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, Bad Bunny sparked reconciliation rumours with the 32-year-old model and jewellery designer. Gabriela was spotted in the VIP section of the Grammy Awards venue during Bad Bunny's historic Album of the Year win for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. She also posted a photo of her premium access wristband on social media.
On February 12, 2026 (ET), the global superstar was spotted again as he stepped out from a dinner with his ex in Buenos Aires. With these public appearances and Bad Bunny's new finger ring, the focus has shifted to his relationship with Gabriela, which quietly ended three years ago.
Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny, first met the model in 2017, and it was a classic meet-cute. Their low-key love story began at a restaurant in Puerto Rico, where Gabriela caught Benito's eye shortly after a surprise performance by Zion & Lennox. That chance meeting quietly bloomed into a serious relationship. Later, the rapper talked about their first meeting in a 2020 interview with Rolling Stone. He shared:
“I met her around three years ago. It was after I sang at a Zion and Lennox concert, here in Puerto Rico. I met her at some restaurant, while I was eating with my parents and my brothers. We started talking, and from there, we continued to see each other.”
Unlike most celebrity couples, Bad Bunny and Gabriela kept their relationship extremely private, staying away from media attention for three years. It wasn't until early 2020 that fans started seeing them together. They were reportedly first seen sitting courtside at a Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks game in Miami in February 2020. During the quarantine days related to the Coronavirus, the duo posted cutesy videos together. At that time, Benito spoke about his special woman in an interview with Rolling Stone. He told the publication:
"Do people really think I'm spending quarantine alone? No! I am with someone, she is very special in my life. This quarantine has made me understand that she is the best companion I could have."
During the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards, the couple made their first red carpet appearance, instantly grabbing attention with their chemistry. The next year, Gabriela got featured in Benito's Titi Me Preguntó music video, playing his bride. The music video became a sensation, garnering more than 1 billion views on YouTube.
By late 2022, the couple was no longer seen together, neither on-screen nor in public events. Fans realised that Bad Bunny and Gabriela had quietly gone their separate ways. However, neither of them ever publicly announced their breakup, nor did they instantly unfollow each other on social media. And when Bad Bunny showed up to a Lakers game in January 2023 with another woman, fans began to assume that the relationship had quietly ended.
Bad Bunny later subtly hinted at the breakup, clarifying that their relationship was that of an "intimate friend" or "best friend," rather than a traditional couple, during an Instagram Live. Some reports suggested they might have parted ways due to the intense online scrutiny they faced throughout their nearly five-year relationship.
Despite the breakup, the former couple has remained on supportive terms. Following the split, Benito was briefly linked to Kendall Jenner after the two were seen together at games and having dinners with the latter's close friends, Justin and Hailey Bieber. Sources at the time described Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner's relationship as "hanging out" and casually "having fun." Things eventually fizzled out by late 2024.
As for Gabriela, she continued maintaining a low-key public profile, focusing on her own singing career and her jewellery line, Diciembre Veintinueve (D29). On her Instagram, she has over 2.4 million followers, where she often promotes her designs and shares lifestyle, travel, and fashion content. Whether or not she dated anyone after Bad Bunny is not publicly known.
Well, right now, it's all just speculation. However, given their frequent public appearances since the beginning of 2026 and Gabriela's public support for Bad Bunny at the Grammys, they clearly share mutual respect and deeply care for each other. As people say, sometimes relationships don't work out, not because of betrayal or drama, but because life gets in the way, because dynamics change, and the 'relationship' tag becomes a burden. From whatever little is known about Benito and Gabriela, their creative chemistry never changed; they never stopped caring about each other.
With things seemingly at a much better place between them now, it's just a matter of waiting to see whether their timing is finally right again. And if we know one thing about Bad Bunny, he likes to keep the world guessing!
