Madhya Pradesh's Union Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia's son, Mahaaryaman Scindia, suffered an injury after his chest hit the sunroof of a moving car on January 5, 2026. He was travelling through Pichhore Assembly constituency in Shivpuri district and greeted people. It is worth mentioning that he did not feel immediate discomfort. But soon, he suffered a chest pain and was taken to the district hospital. Read on to know more about him!
Mahaaryaman Scindia is the son of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. He is also the prince of Gwalior's royal family. Despite being born with a silver spoon, he was driven to build his own name and become an entrepreneur. He is fondly called Aary by his mother and radiates poise in his crisp attire. Talking about his education, he has completed his schooling from The Doon School, and later pursued graduation in economics and political science from Yale.
Talking about his professional life, Mahaaryaman Scindia co-founded the agriculture startup, MyMandi, in 2022 along with his close friend, Suryansh Rana. His ultimate goal to work on the venture was to create his own name away from his family legacy and being born as the prince of Gwalior. As per a report in 2024, MyMandi received a revenue of USD 2.33 million.
Mahaaryaman Scindia's company, MyMandi, is a business that deals in fresh fruits and vegetables. It focuses on an online aggregator to supply fruits and vegetables. It has so far raised USD 2.06 million in funding from Real Time Accelertor Fund and LetsVenture, with a current valuation of USD 8.12 million. Famous industrialist, Ratan Tata also believed in Mahaaryaman's business, and he was one of the investors.
At the age of 28, Mahaaryaman Scindia is a member of the Scindia royal family. He lives in the Jaivilas Palaces in Gwalior, which is worth Rs. 400 crore. Talking about his plans of joining politics like his father, the 28-year-old entrepreneur denied the same, as he had not thought about it. He is also the president of Madhya Pradesh's cricket league.
According to officials, the accident occurred on the day when Mahaaryaman Scindia was attending a youth conference in the Kolaras Assembly constituency. He was later seen at a cricket match at a college ground. He was standing through the sunroof of his car and was greeting people when the driver accidentally hit the brakes. It caused his chest to hit the sunroof all of a sudden, which resulted in a muscular injury.
However, he did not feel any major pain immediately. But soon he felt intense pain in his chest while he was travelling to Pichhore. As a result, he was admitted to the hospital. Due to this medical emergency, Mahaaryaman Scindia's scheduled visit to Chanderi in Ashoknagar was cancelled. Soon, the waiting crowd was asked to leave as the visit was postponed due to Mahaaryaman's ill-health.
