It has been just days since Kristy Scott filed for divorce from her husband of over 10 years, Desmond Scott, leaving netizens in shock. The couple's fun banter on the internet made many believe they had truly found someone perfect, destined for them, but the duo's sudden downfall of their bond shattered the idea of a modern fairytale. But an even bigger shock came when it was revealed that Kristy cited infidelity as the reason behind her split. It left the internet polarized, with netizens divided between those who believed the claim and those who did not.
A few days after Kristy Scott filed for divorce from Desmond Scott, a new video of the latter has gone viral, showing him getting cozy with a mystery woman at a Houston bar. According to TMZ, Desmond was spotted late on January 11, 2025, looking cosy and relaxed with a woman seated on his lap. The duo was seen kissing and embracing, unaware of the attention they were drawing.
The timing of the same has raised a lot of questions since just a day ago, TMZ had broken the news that Kristy had filed for divorce in Harris County, Texas, citing alleged infidelity. She stated there was no chance of reconciliation. Subsequently, the sudden appearance of another woman so soon after the filing fueled speculation that she might be connected to the claims in the court documents.
However, at this point, there is no confirmation about the infidelity of the woman in the video or if she is the person Kristy referenced in her divorce petition. On the other hand, Desmond has not publicly addressed the viral clip. At the same time, sources close to him have not shared further details about the woman seen with him.
Before the viral video surfaced, Desmond had already broken his silence about the separation. Earlier, on January 10, 2026, he took to his Instagram stories to apologise to Kristy, their family, and fans affected by the news. He acknowledged that Kristy would always be important to him as the mother of her kids, yet they were facing challenges throughout 2025, and he had asked for a separation. He acknowledged that he regrets making some wrong decisions. In his words:
"During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, shared them with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce."
Kristy and Desmond Scott's love story used to feel like a real-life fairytale. The couple met in middle school at age 14, grew up together, and tied the knot in August 2014 when they were just 19 and 20 years old. Over the years, they built a massive social media following through their family content, prank videos, and lifestyle posts, establishing their family brand, The Scotts. They share two sons, Vance, 7, and Westin, 6, who often appeared in their videos.
According to divorce documents obtained by US Weekly, Kristy revealed that the couple had planned to enter into a written agreement regarding custody, visitation, and child support. If they cannot agree, she has asked the court to decide. Similarly, they already have a marital property agreement outlining the division of their community and separate assets.
