Pakistani actor, Wahaj Ali defended his 'Tere Bin' co-star Yumna Zaidi after one of his fan pages shared a meme on the latter. Netizens reacted to Wahaj's response.
Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi are two of the biggest names in Pakistani showbiz. After starring as the lead couple ‘Murtasim’ and ‘Meerab’ in the immensely popular drama, Tere Bin, the duo has become a fan favourite. With their impeccable acting skills and on-screen chemistry, Wahaj and Yumna have won the hearts of millions across India and Pakistan. The show was so popular that it was renewed for another season and is currently under production.
Amidst the fans’ excitement for Tere Bin 2, Wahaj Ali made headlines recently when he defended his co-star Yumna on social media. The actor's fan page shared a meme drawing comparisons between Yumna and a potato. The meme intended to highlight the actress’ ability to have perfect chemistry with her other male co-actors, including Humayun Saeed, Azaan Sami Khan, and Feroze Khan, along with Wahaj Ali.

However, this did not go well with the Tere Bin actor, who responded to the meme made by his fan page. He not only asked the admin to take down the post immediately but also emphasised that as his fans, they should respect his colleagues, family, and friends. Despite the admin's initial denials that the post should be removed as Wahaj had unfollowed him, it has now been deleted from Instagram.
Soon people on the internet started penning down their thoughts on this whole incident. While a segment of netizens thought it was an adorable step by Wahaj to defend his co-star, others asked the actor not to pay much heed to such memes. One user said, “His own fan troll Yumna, but he never said anything, but he chose this nice positive post where nothing was wrong.” Another one wrote, “I have never watched his dramas, but he is a gentleman and a decent man. And these so-called fans should respect everyone Fatherless Generation.” Meanwhile, a third netizen mentioned, “Yumna looks good on screen with all co-actors that part is true.”

On December 31, 2023, the editor-in-chief of Diva Magazine, Raheel Rao, dropped a fun behind-the-scene video featuring the Tere Bin co-stars, Wahaj Ali and Yumna Zaidi. In the video, the two were captured playfully bantering with each other. For the shoot, Yumna donned an all-black outfit comprising a simple top and flared pants, underneath a beautiful white overcoat with various prints all over it. Wahaj, on the other hand, looked handsome in a crisp white shirt and straight-fit black pants, which he paired with a black waistcoat and a tie.
