As soon as the buzz intensified on X, previously known as Twitter, fans questioned why Trisha unfollowed Vijay. One user wrote, "TrishaKrishnan unfollowing @TVKVijayHQ on Instagram has sparked fresh speculation on social media. Fans also noticed that Trisha did not publicly wish Vijay on his birthday this year, leading to rumours that the two may have grown apart." Another user penned, "Trisha, who had specially wished him in the past, this time, on Vijay’s birthday, did not post anything."
A third user revealed that Trisha never followed Vijay on Instagram, "Trisha never followed Vijay and that's truth no nobody understands this never followed in any social media." A fourth one remarked, "Break up confirm? What if he goes back to his wife. Telugus will anyways support home wreckers Sam, Trisha, Vijay?"
For the unversed, last year, Trisha had shared a special post from Vijay Thalapathy. Taking to her Instagram handle, Trisha had shared an unseen photo of Thalapathy Vijay to wish him on his 51st birthday. While her gesture was loved by many, who started claiming that they were together and had been dating for a long time. Trisha shared a photo with Vijay, who held her furbaby, and the actress was looking at him in awe. Along with it, she wrote:
"Happy Birthday bestest."
However, so far, Vijay and Trisha have chosen not to speak on the buzz. The two never talked about their affair in public. But the way, Trisha tagged along with Vijay at various events left people wondering if the reports about their dating are actually true. The couple even visited Ajith Kumar's residence when his mother passed away. She was also present at Vijay Thalapathy's oath ceremony. During an interaction with Times Now, Trisha blushed and expressed happiness on seeing Vijay taking the oath as CM.
Earlier, in February 2026, Trisha Krishnan reacted to remarks made by Tamil Nadu BJP Chief, Nainar Nagendran, where he involved her and actor-politician, Vijay Thalapathy. Nainar made an extremely degrading remark that Vijay is inexperienced in politics and that he should focus on his family and 'get out of actor, Trisha's house' to gain political experience.
After this, Trisha shared a legal notice and slammed Nagendran's remark involving her. The actress shared a legal notice via her legal counsel on her Instgram. In the official statement, Trisha addressed the 'disrepectful' statement. Her counsel clarified her involvement with any political party and shared that she has a neutral stand. The legal statement further added that she prefers to be known for her craft rather than her political alignment. Trisha captioned the post as:
"Disrespect should and always will be called out."
