Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleRising soccer star Karoline Heintz was found dead on August 20, 2026 at around 12:30 a.m. local time. She was just 18 years old when her lifeless body was found in the back hatch of her Jeep Cherokee. Karoline was a soccer star at Pennsylvania University and had a bright future ahead, but her life was cut short after her boyfriend, Royce Moshe, stabbed her to death. The incident got the internet talking after shocking details about the case surfaced.
Karoline Heintz's tragic murder left everyone wondering what might possibly have been the reason for the same. Her 18-year-old boyfriend, Royce Mosher, fatally stabbed her and gave a bizarre explanation for it. He claimed that "demons" told him to harm her. The tragedy took place on August 20, 2026, after the couple met each other following her family event. The Pennsylvania University women's soccer player reportedly met Royce after attending a family party in the evening.
Pennsylvania State Trooper Rocco Gagliardi shared the details of Karoline and Royce's meetup with reporters. As per Rocco, the couple got together at Royce's father's home in North Strabane Township, where they talked about their relationship in her car. According to the source, the conversation focused mostly on how they could continue seeing each other while being busy with University studies. However, soon the discussion turned a "little bit south", and what followed was reportedly pure horror.
Rocco shared that after the tiff between Karoline and Royce, the latter told her that he had something for her and needed to get it from the house. He then hastily went into the house and grabbed a knife from the kitchen, according to Rocco. After that, Royce came back to the car and allegedly stabbed Karoline in the chest, leading her to fall out of the vehicle. Recalling the events in chronological order, Rocco Gagliardi mentioned:
"They're a younger couple talking about how relationships can continue maybe in a college setting. Somewhere, that conversation probably goes a little bit south. Towards the end of that conversation between boyfriend and girlfriend, he goes inside and grabs a large knife from the kitchen."
After killing Karoline Heintz, Royce Mosher allegedly tried to destroy all evidence of his crime. He reportedly stuffed her in the back hatch of the car and drove from his father's house (i.e., the site of the crime) to his mother, Rachel Mosher's home in Beallsville, Pennsylvania. He sought help from his mom, and she tried to remove blood stains from clothes and the car to cover up her son's crime. By that time, Karoline was supposed to have returned to her dorm room.
When Karoline Heintz's family was informed that the 18-year-old had not returned yet, they tried to contact her. After failing to connect with the soccer star, they called the police for a wellness check. The officers tracked her location, which was pinged outside the California Borough Library, and there they found her bloodied body in the abandoned, blood-stained car, as per Rocco Gagliardi.
The police connected the dots and identified Royce Mosher as a suspect. Royce is currently in police custody alongwith his mother, with the latter facing charges of evidence tampering as she helped him dispose of Karoline's body. His mom reportedly helped him after he emotionally claimed that he had a “demon take over”, forcing him to kill his girlfriend.
As per the latest updates, Royce's motive behind murdering Karoline hasn't been revealed. It is not known if he was suffering from some mental issues, which might have led him to commit the crime.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Karoline Heintz's family as they deal with her loss.
