Recently, the CBI filed a chargesheet accusing her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh and her husband, Samarth Singh, of abetment of suicide. After the initial investigation into the case ended, chilling details emerged about Twisha's emotional final call to her father.
After the CBI's first phase of investigation into the Twisha Sharma death case, they filed a 600-page chargesheet on August 14, 2026, accusing the deceased's husband, Samarth Singh and his mother, Giribala Singh, of subjecting Twisha to mental torment and abetting her suicide. The late model's final moments have also been revealed in the report, shocking netizens.
As per recent reports, on the day of Twisha Sharma's death, i.e., on May 12, 2026, she sent a chilling final WhatsApp message to her sister-in-law, sharing her wish to die in peace. She allegedly wanted her sister-in-law to ask her husband, Samarth to collect her lifeless body after her passing. The text could be read as:
"Ask him [Samarth Singh] to collect leftover of his wife. But tomorrow. Let me die in peace right now."
Twisha Sharma sent the text at 9:36 p.m. and, four minutes later, walked alone from the ground floor of her Bhopal home to the terrace, as seen in CCTV footage. At 9:41 p.m., an emotional Twisha called her father, Navnidhi Sharma. In the recordings of the call, she was allegedly heard crying and saying that Samarth Singh had become "very aggressive and violent" towards her.
Twisha allegedly further stated that she was scared and wanted her parents to see her as soon as possible. Her brother and sister-in-law previously claimed that she repeatedly told them that she wanted to go back home in the final month before her death. On the day of her demise, at around 10:05 p.m., Twisha called her mother and allegedly said the same things about Samarth's behaviour towards her.
After that, by 10:23 p.m., her husband and mother-in-law went to look for her on the terrace, as seen in the CCTV footage. After some time, Twisha, who had allegedly hanged herself, was carried downstairs. Twisha was then immediately taken to AIIMS Bhopal, where she was reportedly pronounced dead at around 10:55 p.m.
Twisha Sharma's brother, Major Harshit Sharma recalled her last phone call before her demise. During an interview with Barkha Dutt's Mojo Story, he revealed that his sister called their mother at 10:05 p.m., and 15 minutes later, her in-laws broke the news of her passing to them. During the phone conversation, Twisha was crying and in a bad mood, according to her mother. Her brother said that she abruptly disconnected the line when her husband approached her, and then the sound of someone shouting in the background could be heard.
The person was yelling at Twisha, asking what was going on, and, in that heated moment, she allegedly cut the call. Harshit further stated that Twisha's mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, picked up the bereaved family's call at 10:15 p.m., saying that they were asleep and then, in another call 5 minutes later, the retired Sessions Judge allegedly informed them of Twisha's death. Harshit stated:
"The timeline...10:05 was the last call wherein my sister was already you know crying...thora awaz se pata par raha tha that she's you know not in a good mood, according to my mother, because I was not on the call. The call was hung up when Samarth had entered the room...we have not seen the CCTV."
