Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleSeven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady often hits the headlines for his personal life. Tom Brady was married to Gisele Bündchen. The couple tied the knot in 2009 and welcomed two kids. However, it was in 2022 that the duo parted ways.
While Tom remained single, Gisele Bündchen got married to Miami-based Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, with whom she shares a baby boy. Tom Brady and his ex-wife, Gisele, co-parent their kids and have remained committed to their children since parting ways. However, a post recently surfaced on social media, claiming that Tom Brady had some remarks about his past marriage to Gisele. He apparently revealed that he regretted getting married, but did he actually make the comment? Let's have a look.
Recently, a video of Tom Brady made the rounds on social media. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was seen conversing on UFC Originals: Champion Mindset with Daniel Cormier. The video was released six months ago, in which Tom Brady discussed the 'monotony of excellence' and the psychological drive required for elite performance. While the statements he shared in the video were simply inspiring and motivating, the person who posted the clip seemed to have intentionally added a clickbait caption.
According to the caption, it was stated that Tom Brady talked about his marriage and said that 'I regret getting married' and 'Marriage doesn't favor men'. To clarify, Tom said nothing like that in the video, and it's a fake post, seemingly created for traction with misleading information.
Earlier, in an interview on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Tom Brady talked about his busy life. For him, staying busy is something that he actually likes. He said in the interview that he doesn't have much time for his personal life or for himself, while adding that he loves to be with his kids. Tom Brady retired in 2023, and, speaking about it, he mentioned that he was at a point in his life when he felt he needed to be at his kids' games more than they needed to be at his.
Tom and Gisele's divorce was amicable. While there had been much conversation about his busy career being one of the reasons, speaking to Vanity Fair, Gisele said that one cannot actually put all the blame on his career, and things weren't so 'black and white'.
Speaking on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Brady seemingly hinted at the tough phase he had to navigate during his split from his ex-wife, Gisele. During that time, he was also navigating his final season with the NFL, and speaking about the same, Tom mentioned that he was going through a 'family issue', while admitting that 'it took a lot out of him ', in terms of his ability to play. Brady's exact words were:
“I was going through, I had a lot of, you know, a personal family issue. And it was a challenge, and it was very … it just took a lot out of me in terms of, you know, my ability to play.”
