The documentary revisited the brutal murder of the woman, committed by Taylor Parker, who cut open her stomach to get her unborn fetus. However, Taylor’s crime was caught red-handed when the doctors discovered that she was not the mother of the baby.
While the documentary revealed a lot of details that were unknown to the general public for all these years, a new situation has now emerged, resulting from the arrival of the new film. Keep reading to know more!
Taylor Parker was stopped on the road when she was taking the baby to the hospital, claiming that it was born to her. Notably, she was transported to the McCurtain Memorial Hospital by the authorities, where a special agent also questioned Taylor. However, the doctors found that the baby was not born to her.
While the entire case was covered in the Netflix documentary, the hospital has recently claimed that there have been multiple requests where people are willing to visit the facility and even speak to the individuals who were associated with Taylor Parker’s case in some manner. The hospital seemingly criticised the requests by describing the case as a story of devastating loss. They clarified that the story was not of “entertainment or a destination of tourism.” The hospital also said:
“Out of respect for those affected, including the family, our staff, and the community, McCurtain Memorial Hospital will not participate in interviews, photo opportunities, tours, or discussions related to these events.”
The hospital even recalled the incident where a lady and her unborn child died under unexpected circumstances. The hospital also honoured the deceased mother and child, recognising the lasting effect on the nurses, doctors, and everyone else who responded with dedication after the incident.
Ever since Maternal Instinct arrived on Netflix, all the individuals involved in the case have become a topic of discussion for various reasons. One of them is Taylor Parker’s maternity photographer, Kelly Mae May. When Reagan Simmons-Hancock was murdered, Taylor Parker lied to her ex-boyfriend, Wade Griffin, about her pregnancy. Notably, Reagan’s murder happened after Taylor’s due date passed, and she aimed to prove that she was pregnant in any manner possible.
Meanwhile, Kelly Mae May said in a new TikTok video that she has been getting a lot of criticism after the release of the documentary. She recalled the time when she met Taylor Parker, saying that the woman appeared pregnant at that time. Kelly said that she never checked Taylor’s belly and had no personal relationship with Taylor or her boyfriend. Kelly said that after Taylor’s actions were revealed to the public, she received multiple requests to delete the maternity photoshoot pictures and was criticised at the same time for taking the photographs. Kelly also apologised to Reagan Simmons-Hancock’s family and said:
“As [Taylor’s] photographer, she seemed very normal, she was a very happy and bubbly person. She did not act as if she was crazy, she even had her daughter with her, Wade the boyfriend was with her while I took her pictures.”
