Adittya Kappadia was born on November 14, 1986. He completed his schooling at Swami Vivekanand International School (SVIS), Mumbai. Later, he pursued a degree in Economics at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. Just like his wife, Tanvi Thakkar, Adittya also belongs to the same acting world. He primarily works in Bollywood, Hindi TV series and Gujarati films. Adittya is best known for his role in the popular TV series, Shaka Laka Boom Boom.
Adittya also starred in Hindi TV series including Idhar Udhar as 'Abhishek Sharma', Shaka Laka Boom Boom as 'Jhumru', and Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum as 'Shashwat Nikhilesh Majumdar' and in the TV show, Cambala Investigation Agency as 'Ishaan Mehra'. He made his Bollywood debut with the film, Jaanwar and later featured in the movies, including Hari Puttar: A Comedy of Terrors as 'Rocky A. Dhoonca', Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami as young 'Purushotam Narayan Joshi.'
Besides Hindi TV series and Bollywood, Adittya has also tried his luck in Gujarati films. He made his debut in the Gujarati film industry with Bas Ek Chance. He played the male lead in the film. Sharing his excitement about the debut, Adittya once told TOI:
"I feel very excited about making my debut in Gujarati films. As films like Bey Yaar and Kevi Rite Jaish have shown, the Gujarati film industry is undergoing some refreshing changes, and I feel really excited about being part of a contemporary and relevant movie. I have high expectations from the film and I am sure that we will be able to entertain the audiences."
Tanvi and Adittya first crossed paths on the set of Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum. After dating for a while, the duo got engaged in 2013. After seven years of engagement, Tanvi and Adittya tied the knot on February 16, 2021. It was a court wedding, and the couple held an intimate celebration at their home. On June 19, 2023, the pair completed their family by welcoming a baby boy, Krishay Kapadia.
In a 2022 interview with TOI, Tanvi described herself as a total freak. She mentioned how her husband, Adittya, changed for good after their marriage. She lauded Adittya for being patient and mature. In her words:
"I don't think I have changed much post getting married. I think he was always mature and patient, but when it comes to living with a person like me, a person needs more of it. I am a total control freak."
A while back, Tanvi took to her Instagram handle to share that she and Adittya are parting ways. She mentioned that it was an emotional decision for both of them. The couple took the decision to part ways after 5 years of marriage. The reason behind their split is still unknown. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
"After a great deal of thought and consideration, Aditya and I have decided to move forward separately. This has been an emotional decision for both of us, taken with a lot of care, respect, and consideration for each other and our families. There is no negativity or drama here - only the hope for peace and healing for everyone involved."
