Karisma Kapoor's Ex-Husband Sunjay Spends Quality Time With Children, Wife Priya Shares Pictures

Karisma Kapoor has seen many ups and downs in her personal life. She got divorced from her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapoor on June 13, 2016, in Mumbai Family Court. While Karisma is allegedly dating a Mumbai-based businessman, Sandeep Toshniwal, her ex, Sunjay tied the knot with Priya Sachdev.

Karisma and Sunjay have two children, Samaira and Kiaan Raj and their custody is granted to their mother. The father has been granted visitation rights for his children. The children often fly to Delhi to spend some quality time with their father. Sharing pictures of Sunjay striking pose with his children, Priya wrote the caption, “#Twosday The perfect twosday post! Priya also shared a picture of Sunjay posing with her daughter, Safira. Priya was earlier married to hotelier Vikram Chatwal, and this is her second marriage. Seems like Sunjay is in good terms with his children from his second marriage and these pictures are a proof of it. When the custody of the kids was granted to Karisma, Sunjay got occasional visitation rights for them. As per a source mentioned in Spotboye, "They can spend at least two-three months in a year with him if you add up all the days that he has been permitted."

For the uninitiated ones, Sunjay and Karisma got married in 2003, and after having trouble in their paradise, they filed for the divorce in 2014. Their divorce proceedings took many ugly turns. Once when Karisma accused Sunjay of domestic violence, and Sunjay accused her of marrying him only for money. Things got even worse when they fought the legal battle for the custody of their kids.

When the divorce proceedings were going on, Sunjay's lawyer was quoted as saying, 'Karisma has used the children to demand money from my client. She is deliberately not allowing them to meet Sunjay. In the last hearing that happened on January 15, she wanted to bring them to court, but Sunjay was against it as it would have scarred their young minds and affected their psyche. She has been poisoning the children's minds against their father by telling them false stories. There have been instances when Samaira has said that she doesn't want to meet her father at all.'

Karisma’s relationship with Sandeep grabbed the limelight when they were spotted together at various events, parties and family functions. She could not marry him before as he was married to a doctor named Arshita. Initially, Arshita was not ready to give divorce to him. But now according to the reports, Sandeep accused Arshita of being schizophrenic and she accused him of adultery, then finally the couple got divorced.

When asked Karisma’s father, Randhir Kapoor about his daughter’s marriage he said, “If she wants to get married, then she has my blessings. She is young and must be seeing Sandeep, I don’t know. I also see their photographs. If she wants to begin her life again and her children are happy with it then I will support them. I don’t think there is anything wrong in that in today’s time.” In fact, things got even more solidified when a leading daily reported, “There’s a loose talk of Sandeep proposing marriage to Karisma and purchasing a three-bedroom home in Juhu.”

Even if Karisma-Sunjay marriage didn’t work out well, he seems to be a perfect father for his children.
