The powerhouse of energy, Anil Kapoor is one of the most loved and celebrated Bollywood actors. Over the years, he has won hearts with iconic films like Mr. India, Meri Jung, Tezaab, Beta and more. Currently, he is grabbing attention for his recent film, Subedaar, directed by Suresh Triveni. Now that the show is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, read on to know more about the ending of Subedaar.
The recently released film, Subedaar follows 'Arjun Maurya' (played by Anil Kapoor), who is a retired army officer. After serving in the Indian Army, 'Arjun' returns back to his hometown and decides to live a peaceful life. However, his calm life is short-lived. His personal life also seems to be disturbing as his relationship with his daughter is very distant. 'Arjun's' daughter struggles to see him at home.
While 'Arjun' is struggling to fix his relationship with his family, he is also forced to return to his angry mode when a powerful illegal sand mining mafia enters. The group is led by 'Prince', while the operations are managed by 'Babli Didi'. As the film moves forward, 'Arjun' finds himself close to the group. Initially, he tries to ignore it, but when the te**or increases, 'Arjun' is forced to stop them.
Slowly and gradually, 'Arjun' realises that the mafia group is treating the entire area very badly. Because of the group workers are treated poorly and children are forced into dangerous labour. However, the turning point comes when 'Prince' destroys 'Arjun's' red Gypsy. It is worth mentioning that the car is very special to 'Arjun', as his late wife gave him that. After this, the fight becomes personal for 'Arjun' and decides to fight back. Slowly and gradually, the film reaches its final showdown between 'Arjun' and 'Prince'.
As the recently released film, Subedaar reaches its end, 'Arjun' faces 'Prince' in an intense battle. The retired soldier finally unleashes all his strength against 'Prince'. Towards the end, 'Arjun' defeats 'Prince' after an intense and violent showdown. 'Prince's' defeat also suggests 'Babli Didi's' defeat as she can't communicate with anyone. In his personal life as well, there is some improvement as 'Arjun' and his daughter try to fix their relationship. While their distant past continues to exist, there is a sense of understanding and reconciliation between them after the battle. It is worth mentioning that the film ends on a hopeful note.
A few days ago, Anil Kapoor appeared at the News18 Rising Bharat Summit, where he opened up about his role in the film. The much-loved actor shared that the director of the film went to multiple places and visited several people before writing the film. Anil Kapoor also stated that after the first narration of the film, he felt an instant emotional connection, which made him say ‘yes’. He was quoted as saying:
"Subedaar is the story of a retired fauji and about his dignity, emotional depth and how he is dealing with his civil life. His story is based in the heartland India so we shot for it in Agra, Kanpur, etc. Our filmmaker went to all these places first, met these people and then he wrote the film. After that he shared the story with me and I started feeling emotionally connected to it. I found the emotional layer to the character."
