Marvel Studios has always attempted to make the post-credits scene one of the biggest highlights for any movie, and the pressure feels especially high at the moment. While Spider-Man: Brand New Day nears its theatrical debut, viewers have been analysing every trailer shot for clues about where 'Peter Parker’s' story is headed.
While the release of the film approaches, the tightly protected finale may have been leaked online. Blurry clips making the rounds reportedly show 'Ned Leeds' using the Spidey Tracker he created in Spider-Man: No Way Home to monitor 'Peter' across dimensions. The footage allegedly indicates that 'Peter' has disappeared from Earth completely, with the tracker malfunctioning as it fails to lock onto him.
The details remain unclear. Different versions of the leak point to the display suggesting 'Peter' is either in outer space or in another reality, ending with “Spider-Man Will Return” on screen and no reference to an Avengers movie. That lack of specifics hasn’t stopped fans from theorising. The situation stands out partly because of what was already rumoured.
Earlier reports claimed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day would follow a new pattern with just one post-credits scene instead of two, and that the scene would tie directly into Avengers: Doomsday, releasing on December 18, 2026. Every previous MCU Spider-Man movie has paired an emotional beat with a comedic tag, so having only one stinger would be a notable change.
Adding to it, Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus indicated the clip places 'Peter' so far from Earth that another universe seems possible, though he didn’t link him to any particular Marvel team or vessel. Since Tom Holland’s involvement in Avengers: Doomsday hasn’t been confirmed, the leak has fueled debate over whether the alleged scene sets him up for that team-up or removes him from the story for now. Marvel and Sony have not yet commented, and nothing has been officially verified as the footage continues to circulate.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day features an ensemble cast. While the details of the characters played by all the actors have been revealed, the same was not done by the makers for Sadie Sink, known for her appearance in Stranger Things and Fear Street Part Two: 1978.
Singer Steve Lacy, who appears on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day soundtrack, was interviewed by streamer Valkyrae on the red carpet during the premiere of the film in Los Angeles on July 27, 2026. Valkyrae asked Steve which character he was most eager to see, and made it clear he shouldn’t spoil anything. Steve eventually ended up revealing something that should have been a secret, as he said:
“Jean. I like Jean. She’s the villain, but there’s a reason to her madness. I like her. I like her character. I like her. I like her character. I don’t know why.”
Although it remains unknown if Sadie Sink plays 'Jean Grey' in the film, online rumours have frequently claimed that the role is being portrayed by the actress. However, fans have to wait until the release of the film to find out the truth.
