Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleSydney Sweeney often makes headlines for her risqué outfit choices and her love life. Recently, the actress faced flak for her nude photoshoot for a sports advertisement. Following a hate train directed at her, she hit back by dropping photos of athletes from the same bare-body campaign. She faced criticism for it from female athletes. Amid the controversy, Sydney's 68-year-old Euphoria co-star Sharon Stone subtly shaded her for owning a lingerie line.
Sydney Sweeney has once again found herself at the center of a controversy over her bold life choices. She is a proud owner of her lingerie line Syrn, and often does provocative ad campaigns for the brand. From climbing the Hollywood sign and hanging a string of innerwear from her brand to going topless for her birthday-month edition lingerie promotion, she has done whatever it takes to make sure the world knows about Syrn.
Sydney's recent controversy regarding her nude sports ad campaign brought renewed attention to her other bold ventures, such as owning a lingerie line. Her Euphoria co-star Sharon Stone may have taken a subtle jab at her for the same. Sharon began by referencing a Euphoria scene in which her character asks Sydney's character to stop filming risqué content and instead work on the movie Sharon's character was producing.
In the scene, Sydney initially agreed to Sharon's proposal but ultimately did not keep her word. Sharon went on to compare Sydney's on-screen role to her real-life persona, saying the 29-year-old didn't follow the veteran star's advice in the real world either. Sharon made the comment referring to Sydney Sweeney's lingerie brand Syrn. It seemed like a subtle jab at The Housemaid star's bold business and other ventures. Sharon's exact words were:
"In Euphoria, I tried to get Sydney Sweeney's character to stop being a cam girl and to come and work for me on the series I was producing called LA Nights. And she agreed to stop being a cam girl- which she didn't do...As you can see from Sydney's new lingerie line, it didn't take."
Ahead of Sydney Sweeney's 29th birthday, she dropped an ad campaign for her birthday-month edition lingerie promotion. For the ad, the Anyone But You actress went completely topless. The viral video featured her baking, eating cake, and setting up party decorations in little to no clothes. The Syrn ad campaign was her raunchiest yet, leaving everyone gasping for air.
Just weeks later, Sydney once again showcased her bold side by appearing in a debatable September 2026 advertisement for Novig, a sports trading and prediction market platform. The video ad and accompanying photoshoot featured a 'game-day' theme where Sydney appeared bare-bodied. She covered parts of her body with various sports equipment, such as a racket and soccer balls.
In the ad, the Christy actress also performed a series of mock sports, including tennis, golf, baseball, and ice hockey. The ad campaign clip went viral online, with many criticizing Sydney's choice in endorsement projects. Following that, Sydney took to her Instagram Stories and shared a series of photos of athletes from the same nude campaign, including Serena Williams, Ronda Rousey, Sue Bird, Megan Rapinoe, Rob Gronkowski, and Jason Kelce.
It was seen by the public as Sydney Sweeney's way of hitting back at the backlash. Amid that, retired Olympic-winning Australian swimmer Ariarne Titmus and some other female athletes slammed the actress for allegedly promoting the sexualization of female sportspersons.
