TV actress, Sanchita Ugale tragically passed away on June 14, 2026. She was reportedly having mental health issues.
Sanchita Ugale, the 22-year-old TV actress, reportedly died by suicide. She was widely known for her roles in the popular TV soap operas, including Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya. According to reports, Sanchita was found dead at her residence in Nalasopara, Mumbai, on June 14, 2026. Amid this, Sanchita’s close friend, Megha Sharma, revealed that the late TV actress was undergoing treatment due to depression. In fact, her social media posts reportedly hinted at mental health issues.
In an interview with Money Control, Sanchita Ugale’s close friend, Megha Sharma, revealed that the former had been suffering since January 2026. Megha stated that along with depression, Sanchita also had some other health issues. She added that the Kumkum Bhagya actress had some personal reasons and was undergoing treatment due to depression. Megha’s shocking revelation made it clear that Sanchita had been dealing with personal challenges and mental health issues. Megha was quoted as saying:
"I am in deep shock and out of words. She had some health issues and had been suffering from depression since January 2026. She had some personal reasons and was undergoing treatment."
In the same interview, Megha stated that although Sanchita was suffering from depression, she was a happy-go-lucky person. Recalling their last meetup, Megha shared that she had met Sanchita 10 days before Sanchita's untimely death and had also taken her for an audition. Further in the interview, Megha disclosed that Sanchita often said that she would end her life. Megha was quoted as saying:
"But she was a happy-go-lucky person. In fact, I met her 10 days ago and took her for an audition. She was convinced that she could make it. Later, her phone was switched off. She often said that she would end her life, and we all, including her mother and family, motivated her to stay positive and not think about such negative things. But this time we could not save her. She loved herself."
Sanchita’s untimely demise was both shocking and heartbreaking. According to reports, Sanchita died by suicide at around 7 pm on June 14, 2026. After going through her Instagram posts, some captions caught our attention. It reportedly hinted at Sanchita’s mental health issues. On February 6, 2024, Sanchita shared a carousel featuring herself. In the caption, she wrote, "Take all your worries to the beach and wave them goodbye…." On February 22, 2024, Sanchita shared a carousel featuring some monochrome pictures of herself. She captioned the post as, "Monochrome pictures, colourful life. Last night at #zeerishteyawards." Sanchita captioned another post from July 2024 as:
"Less colour, more emotions."
Sanchita Ugale began her acting career with small roles in TV shows. She rose to fame with the role, 'Diya Tandon' in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya. She also appeared in TV shows, including Wagle Ki Duniya and Crime Aaj Kal. Most recently, Sanchita was seen in the TV soap opera, Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi. She starred opposite actor, Sorab Bedi. Apart from TV, Sanchita also featured in films. Sanchita played the role of 'Tarabai' in Chhaava. She also starred in Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout, alongside Manoj Bajpayee.
