Salman Khan and his family have been left heartbroken as the actor's close friend, Kumod Raney, passed away. The Khan family woke up with the painful news of Kumod Raney's death on June 9, 2026. For the unversed, she was a close family friend of Salman Khan and his entire family. They often celebrated many festivals and birthdays together.
After Salman Khan was seen breaking down at Kumod Raney's funeral, people started searching more about her. For those who don't know, Kumod Raney hailed from Mumbai, India. But while living in Dubai, she had a huge, luxurious salon called Reign Beauty Bar, which celebrated its 22nd anniversary this year. Talking about Kumod's Instagram feed, her second-to-last post was with Salman Khan.
It dated back to January 1, 2025, as the two celebrated the New Year together. It was a sweet photo as Salman posted with Kumod, who was looking gorgeous in a casual ensemble. One could not believe that she was in her late fifties. Sharing the photo, she had written:
"newyear#2025#gratitude."
Kumod Raney was a famous businesswoman and shared a close connection with the world of entertainment. Despite it, she had no intention of taking the spotlight and remained away from the media attention. Talking about her personal life, there is not much information about her husband, but it is reported that she had a son, Kabir, and would often share photos with him. Kabir shares a close connection with Arbaaz and Sohail's sons as they studied together.
A post on Instagram revealed that Kumod Raney passed away on June 9, 2026. They called Kumod a kind, warm, unwavering-spirited woman who touched everyone who had the chance of knowing her. The memories she left and the relationships built over the years. The post can be read as:

Recently, a makeup artist, Sheeba Iqbal, also penned a last note for Kumod on her Instagram Stories. She shared that she remembers her beloved boss, Kumod, with deep respect and gratitude. She added that Kumod wasn't just a boss but a kind leader, mentor and someone who supported people around them. She wrote:
"Today, I remember my beloved boss Kumod Rane Madam with deep respect and gratitude. You were not just a boss to me. You were a kind leader, a mentor, and someone who always encouraged and supported the people around you. While working with you, I learned not only about my profession but also about dedication, professionalism, and the importance of kindness towards others. Your guidance shaped my career, and your trust gave me confidence in my work."
In February 2026, Kumod celebrated her 60th birthday and hosted a huge party for her friends and family. She was dressed in a crisp black-hued coat with a white top underneath. In a clip, she was seen hugging Salman Khan right after cutting a huge cake. Arpita Khan and her daughter, Ayat, were also seen in the clip.
