Rubina Dilaik And Abhinav Shukla's Wedding Reception Invite Is Out, It Includes A Digital Invitation

After knowing each other for over four-and-a-half years now, Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress Rubina Dilaik and her fiancé, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka actor Abhinav Shukla are all set to walk down the aisle on June 21, 2018. On June 8, 2018, Rubina shared the picture of their eco-friendly wedding invite and captioned it, “True Love nurtures and nourishes the soul! With this thought we @ashukla09 wanted to gift “a life” to our friends to mark the beginning of our new journey and thank them for being with us through our thick and thin. The love is not only for people and by people but we both have love for nature as well hence, physically our invite is organic and totally biodegradable! The cards are made of MDF wood and recycled paper! We want to encourage people to keep weddings fun and nature-friendly!”

And now, we got our hands on Rubina Dilaik and her fiancé Abhinav Shukla’s wedding reception invite. Their wedding reception will take place on June 28, 2018, at Kishor Kumar Bungalow, Juhu Tara Road, Mumbai. The wedding reception invite is shared by Kankotri Invites who also made customised wedding invites for the soon-to-be-married couple. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the bride-to-be Rubina shared at what time they decided is the right time for getting married. Rubina revealed, “Before we dated, we worked together in my first show, 10 years ago, but then we didn’t know each other very well, we only knew of each other. And the decision of taking our relationship to marriage wasn’t based on a right or a wrong time. We just thought that we want to get married and we made things happen for us.”

When asked if they took a cue from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding reception card for their wedding invite, Rubina stated, “No, we didn’t know that Virat - Anushka also had this theme for their wedding invitation; it’s just a coincidence. And who’s idea it was behind the organic wedding card with a sapling, Rubina was quoted as saying, “The idea was to do something meaningful and eco-friendly, as lavishness is not necessarily defined by mindless use of things that just look beautiful and serve no purpose. Also, we wanted to gift friends a token of appreciation and thank them by giving them a life. It’s in the form of a plant or sapling and we named it ‘let the love grow’. Through this invitation, we are sharing a piece of our contentment, happiness and joy.”

About the preparations of creating their 'nature-friendly' wedding invite, Rubina informed, “Abhinav really believes in doing things on our own like DIY [Do it yourself], as they have a personal touch to it. Everyone can spend a lot of money but spending a lot of energy and effort behind really takes a lot of courage and commitment. And my friend, Keerti Kelkar (actor) helped me a lot in putting thing together and giving it a beautiful look.”

Talking further about their low-key wedding at the Woodville Palace of Shimla, Rubina admitted, “We always wanted to have a low key wedding because for us, it’s celebrating each other’s presence with our loved ones only. Also, having it in a palace is not the idea for an extravagant affair because Raj Kumar Uday Singh offered my father that he’d love to host our wedding in his palace and hence the idea came forth. When asked if they’ll be sharing photos and videos from their wedding on social media, Rubina asserted, “Our wedding, especially the rituals we’re doing with friends and family, that’s absolutely a personal and a private affair and we love to keep it that way. We are not looking at publicising or putting them on social media and make it a public affair.”

Besides the seven vows, Rubina and Abhinav are planning to exchange secret seven more vows. Speaking about the same, Rubina said, “These vows are not to bind or weigh down each other with promises or responsibilities. They are a commitment or reminder to self to be in each other’s life, creating value, co-creating memories and being each other’s strength. And nothing that we commit to ourselves burdens our partner.”

Concluding it with the guest list, Rubina shared, “I’ve got my entire gang joining me for my big day in my bridesmaid tribe. In an interview with The Indian Express, Abhinav shared about the pre-wedding preparations and said, “It’s going superb and all because of Rubina. I am not the kind of guy who can manage so many things together, but she is doing so much running around. I am getting inspired and learning so much from her on how to do things like these. Women are known to be multi-tasker and I can see that in her completely.”
