She recently tied the knot with her husband and businessman Shannon Beador on October 3, 2025, and has been living her best life ever since. Now, with Alexis approaching 50, she revealed a major life update.
During an interview with People, Alexis Bellino revealed that she underwent a mid-facelift. She confessed that she bought it as an early birthday present to herself before she turns 50. As she reaches her personal milestone, her goal is to look “youthful and zesty” and continue moving forward with the same.
It is worth noting that this is not Alexis’ first rodeo with plastic or cosmetic surgery. Her first enhancement was a breast augmentation, which she got when she was only 19 years old. She claimed that this made her the “first girl” at the University of Missouri to get implants. With time and her gravitation towards implant surgery, Alexis Bellino earned herself the nickname of “Jesus Jugs” on national television.
However, her regularity with the procedure took a turn for the worse when Alexis revealed that she recently experienced a painful post-op complication. This had led one of her implants to leak silicone until she ultimately chose to get smaller implants in 2025. In fact, her experience with breast implants has now led her to convince her daughters to never go near any sort of plastic surgery.
Back in 2011, Alexis Bellino reportedly also underwent sinus surgery. While it was originally intended to just remove an impacted tissue, it doubled up as a cosmetic nose job when The Real Housewives of Orange County star wished to address the “bump” on her nose. All these experiences with surgery led Alexis towards a facelift, which she admitted she always knew was in her future. She said:
“Why I went down this path is [because] a couple of my friends that are a decade older than me both had it done at 49, and they look amazing at 60. I kind of feel like, learn from people that are older and wiser than me.”
Despite Alexis’ wish to get the facelift as her early 50th birthday present, her kids, who are now young adults, had “begged” her not to undergo the surgery. In her words, “They said, ‘Mom, please come on. Jesus Jugs, we’ve had enough of you and your stuff.' And so I just said, ‘Guys, you’ll get it when you’re 50.’”
In fact, it was not just Alexis Bellino’s children, but also her husband, John Janssen, who had his doubts about the surgery. He was against the reality TV star getting a facelift but finally gave in when he sat in on one of her consultations with Beverly Hills, California-based plastic surgeon Dr. John Layke.
So, with a ‘trust the princess' mindset, Alexis chose to go ahead with the facelift that she desired. Her surgery for the same reportedly lasted seven hours and was done at the beginning of this year. She paid for the process out of her own pocket. Apart from the facelift, the surgery also included a neck lift, a brow lift, an upper blepharoplasty and a CO2 laser that resurfaced the skin.
With all the things that she got done on her face, Alexis Bellino claimed that the path to recovery was nothing short of “brutal.” Compared to all her last experiences with cosmetic and plastic surgery, she described it as a “whole different animal.” She added,
“It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, but it was not easy.”
