Moments ago, Vijay Deverakonda took to his Instagram handle to share wholesome photos from his and Rashmika Mandanna’s wedding ceremony. However, it was Rashmika’s unique mangalsutra that stole all the limelight. For those who missed it, the actress opted for a unique mangalsutra, different from the usual.
According to the photos shared by the couple, Rashmika Mandanna’s mangalsutra had a traditional yellow thread with pearls in the middle of it. The heartfelt photos shared by Vijay Deverakonda also reveal that the actress got teary-eyed while the Kingdom actor was tying the mangalsutra around her neck.
Along with the first photos from the wedding, Vijay Deverakonda also penned a heartfelt note for his lady love, Rashmika Mandanna. In his long note, he called Rashmika his best friend and revealed that she makes his day better by just existing. For the unversed, the two first sparked dating rumours in 2018. Vijay Deverakonda’s note can be read as:
"One day, I missed her. Missed her in a way that made me feel like my day would’ve been better if she were around. Like my meals would’ve felt more wholesome if she were sitting across from me. Like my workouts would’ve been more fun and less of a punishment if she were doing them with me. Like I needed her - just to feel that sense of home and calm, no matter where I was. So, I made my best friend… my wife. 26.02.2026."
Rashmika and Vijay got married in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur. The wedding was attended by close friends and family. It is worth mentioning that the photos shared by the couple are from the wedding ceremony that took place on February 26, 2026, morning. The duo also had a ceremony in the evening. According to a report by News18, for the Kodava ceremony, the actress wore a saree, which was gifted by Vijay’s mother. A source, confirming the same had shared:
"Rashmika is expected to receive a special sari from Vijay Deverakonda’s mother, which she will wear for the Coorg wedding ceremony, adding an emotional family touch to the ritual."
A few hours ago, a source close to the couple had a conversation with HT City, during which they revealed details about Rashmika and Vijay’s Kodava ceremony. The source had stated that the actress would be walking down from a mountain for their second wedding ceremony. The source revealed:
"Rashmika is expected to make a stunning entry by walking down from the mountain, creating a breathtaking and emotional moment for the ceremony."
Rashmika and Vijay are one of the most-loved couples. Ever since, they were paired in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, the two have received a lot of love from the audience. It is worth mentioning that even though fans continued to ship them, the duo remained tight-lipped about their relationship, until they tied the knot. Reportedly, Rashmika and Vijay exchanged rings in October 2025, during an intimate ceremony held in Hyderabad. Reports also suggest that the two will host a reception in Hyderabad in March 2026.
