The first clip of the movie was released a while ago and it looks like the internet is impressed. For those who missed it, the clip included the first look of Ranbir Kapoor as 'Lord Rama'. Ranbir Kapoor charged more than Rs. 100 crore

Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film, Ramayana is definitely Ranbir Kapoor’s most anticipated and awaited movie. The much-loved actor will be seen playing the role of 'Lord Rama'. Ever since the film has been announced, there have been multiple reports around his salary, claiming that he has charged more than Rs. 100 crore. Well, now a report by ET Now News has revealed that Ranbir Kapoor has charged Rs. 75 crore for the movie. And since Ramayana is a two-part film, the actor will be receiving a total of Rs. 150 crore. Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor is the highest-paid actor of Ramayana.

Who is the second highest-paid actor of Ramayana?

According to the same report by ET Now News, Yash, who will be playing the role of 'Ravana', is the second highest-paid actor. Reportedly, the actor, who became an internet sensation with the KGF franchise took home Rs. 50 crore per installment, making his total earning Rs. 100 crore. If reports are to be believed, Yash charged somewhere around Rs. 30 crore for his blockbuster movie, KGF.

Sai Pallavi’s salary as Sita in Ramayana

Sai Pallavi, who is all set to play the role of 'Sita' in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming movie, reportedly charged a massive amount of Rs. 6 crore per part, which means a total of Rs. 12 crore. It is worth mentioning that this is her highest fee till now. Reports claim that the highest amount she had received for a project was Rs. 5 crore, which she got for the film, Thandel.

Cast fees of supporting actors

Apart from the lead, Ramayana also stars Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey. For the unversed, Sunny Deol will be seen playing the role of 'Hanuman', where TV actor, Ravi Dubey will portray the role of 'Laxman'. According to the same report by ET Now News, Sunny Deol charged Rs. 40 crore for both the parts and Ravi Dubey took home a paycheque of somewhere between Rs. 2 crore to Rs. 4 crore. It is worth mentioning that it is slightly unclear if Ravi Dubey’s fee is for one part or both of them.

Ramayana is made on a huge budget

If a report by The Print and Hindustan Times is believed to be true then Nitesh Tiwari’s movie has been made on a massive budget of Rs. 4000 crore. Reportedly, a major amount of the money has been spent on the grand sets, high-quality costumes, high-scale action sequences, technicians, VFX and more. Apart from this, another reason behind the huge budget can be the cast fees of top actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Yash and more. Some reports also claim that a heavy amount has also been spent on the promotion and marketing of the movie, ensuring that it is easily available to audiences worldwide.

More about Ramayana

For the unversed, Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra will follow the epic story written by Valmiki. The film is expected to follow Lord Rama, his wife, Sita and Ravana. In the first part, viewers can expect Rama and Sita's exile from Ayodhya and their life in the forest. It will also introduce the powerful king of Lanka, Ravana. In the second part, viewers can expect an intense fight between Lord Rama and Ravana.
