Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas' Mehendi Pictures Are Out And They Look Straight Out Of A Fairy Tale

After a whirlwind courtship, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas sealed the deal on December 1 with a Christian wedding ceremony at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. Ralph Lauren shared the following picture on their Instagram handle to congratulate the newly-wedded couple and wrote, "Congratulations to @PriyankaChopra and @NickJonas on the occasion of their wedding in Jodhpur, India, this weekend. Ralph Lauren is honoured to have dressed the couple – Priyanka in a custom Ralph Lauren gown and Nick in a custom Purple Label tuxedo – as well as the members of their wedding party.”

While we were all eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of Priyanka and Nick’s wedding celebrations, Priyanka has finally delighted her fans with some official pictures from her pre-wedding function i.e. mehendi. Priyanka looks like a sunshine in an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla multicoloured skirt and crop top, while the groom opted for a grey coloured kurta pyjama. Here are the pictures:

Priyanka and Nick captioned the pics as, "One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed. @nickjonas"

On Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's official Instagram handle, the designer duo described the bride and groom's outfits in the caption, and wrote, "CELEBRATIONS BEGIN @priyankachopra is a vision in a fabulously folksy, multi-hued organdy ensemble, inspired by a vintage AJSK collection at her Mehndi, teamed with heirloom jewellery designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla by @sabooatajsk @nickjonas looks dashing in our aqua bakhiya kurta".

According the Priyanka and Nick’s Vogue interview, it was in 2016 when they officially met for a drink at the Carlyle Hotel, New York. After their meeting, Priyanka invited Nick to her apartment where her mother, Madhu Chopra was watching Law & Order in her nightgown. It was the first time when Madhu Chopra met her future son-in-law, Nick Jonas. Priyanka shared, “We hung out for a couple of hours. Nick interrupted Priyanka and said, “There was no kiss. There was nothing.” Recalling that night, Nick added, “She’s still upset about that. Your mom was in the house! I thought it was a respectful first night.” Priyanka concluded by replying, “It was too respectful if you ask me.”

Sharing the details about the beginning of their whirlwind relationship, the 36-year old actress told Vogue, “It was Nick who sent the first message”. And it was Nick who approached Priyanka for a date. Reminiscing that moment, he revealed, “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet”. It all started off with a texting relationship to which the groom-to-be himself described as, “friendly with an eye toward flirtation”.

In an interview earlier, Nick shared how love blossomed between the two and had stated, “We met through a friend. We got connected first over text and we started talking for a while. It was about six months before we met up in person. We actually attended the MET Gala, a few years ago together and had a great time.
