General Elections started across India on April 19, 2024, and will be concluded on June 1, 2024, after the completion of its seven phases. The Lok Sabha elections will decide the fate of 543 candidates across India. The results will be declared on June 4, 2024. As per the Election Commission of India, the Lok Sabha Elections of 2024 will witness 1.8 crore first-time voters and 19.47 crore voters between the ages of 20 and 29.
Not only this, more than 85 lakh first-time female voters will be casting their vote in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. Amidst all the buzz around General Elections 2024, several interesting reports are making their way to the internet. One such report that is receiving a lot of interest from the general public is about the Telugu Desam Party's candidate, Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar. According to a report in Live Hindustan, Pemmasani has an estimated total net worth of Rs. 5,785 crores, which makes him the richest Lok Sabha candidate in the country.
For the unversed, Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar is the Telugu Desam Party's candidate for the Guntur Lok Sabha seat in Andhra Pradesh. As per multiple reports, he has submitted an affidavit in which he mentioned all the details of his total assets, which are worth Rs. 5785 crores. Another important information that Pemmasani Chandrasekhar mentioned in his affidavit is that he has a loan of Rs. 1138 crore, which he took from an American bank.
Telugu Desam Party's candidate, Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar hails from Guntur district's Burripalem. Talking about his family background, while not much is known about his mother, Pemmasani's father ran a hotel in Narasaraopet.
Right from an early age, Pemmasani was a bright student, and when the time for higher studies came, he decided to pursue an MBBS from the prestigious Osmania University. After completing his graduation, Pemmasani went to America in order to complete his Master's degree.

During his time in the US, Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar also appeared in the Medical Licensing Examination (MLE). The youngster secured a good rank in the licensing exam, after which he practised medicine for some time. Not only this, during his time in the US, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar also started an edu-tech company, a business that helped him make a lot of money.

As per a report in India Today, Telugu Desam Party's candidate, Dr Pemmasani Chandrasekhar and his wife, Koneru Sriratna, are also renowned investors. The couple has reportedly invested in over 101 companies across the world.
In a short period of time, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar has managed to become one of the most searched Lok Sabha candidates of this year. However, his popularity skyrocketed when he shared his thoughts on Raghu Rama Krishna Raju's arrest. During his appearance on the show, Big Debate, the NRI doctor gave a mass response and left everyone impressed with his take on the debatable topic.
