Parvathy revealed that the makers kept filming without even checking with her if she was fine. She was quoted as saying:

"The first day of the shoot was me getting completely drenched in water and being romanced by the hero (Dhanush). They kept pouring water on me, and I realised I hadn’t carried any change (of clothes). I didn’t have an entourage of people taking care of me or anything."

Parvathy revealed that there came a point when she had to tell her director that she needed to get back to the hotel and change. But she got a big no as they didn't have time to pause the shooting. Parvathy then lost her calm and loudly told them that she was on her period and she had to change. She added that the makers didn't know how to react as there were just three women on set at that time, including her. She shared:"

"At one point, I had to go and tell him (the director) that ‘listen, I need to go back to the hotel, change and come.’ But they were like, ‘No, no, we don’t have time.’ Then I had to loudly tell them that I am on my period and I have to. And they had no idea how to respond to that. Even now, most of the Malayalam films have very few women on set."
