One Piece Season 2, the much-awaited fantasy adventure series, has returned with a bang. The series developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda is scheduled to release on March 10, 2026, on the OTT giant, Netflix. The first season of One Piece was released on Netflix three years ago on August 31, 2023. One Piece is the live-action adaptation of the popular 1997 Japanese manga series with the same name. Amid the buzz, let’s find out what to expect in the series.
One Piece Season 1 kicked off with the deceased King of the Pirates, 'Gold Roger' (played by Michael Dorman), who was about to be executed due to his crimes. Before his death, he revealed that he had hidden a treasure known as One Piece. He shared that whoever finds the treasure will get wealth, fame, and power. This revelation led to the Great Pirate Era, as everyone went off in search of this treasure. 22 years passed by, but no one got hold of the treasure. However, it was 'Monkey D. Luffy' who was adamant to lose hope and continued his search. He befriended 'Nami', 'Roronoa Zoro' and more and embarked on a mission to find out the treasure.
One Piece Season 2 will kick off with 'Monkey D. Luffy' and his teammates, who are making their way to the Grand Line. In search of the world’s greatest treasure, One Piece, 'Monkey D. Luffy' and the Straw Hats, will face new enemies and challenges. In fact, Grand Line, the legendary stretch of sea, will have looming danger and wonder at every turn. Season 2 will end with the conclusion of the Drum Island Arc.
The main characters who were featured in One Piece Season 1 are all set to return in Season 2. Inaki Godoy is returning as 'Monkey D. Luffy', Mackenyu is reprising his role as 'Roronoa Zoro', Emily is returning as 'Nami', Jacob Romero is reprising his role as 'Usopp' and Taz Skylar is returning as 'Sanji'.
