Oliver Tree's death has shaken the world, as he was just 32 when he lost his life in a horrific helicopter crash in Brazil. Now, his ex-girlfriend shared heartbreaking note for him.
Famous US singer, Oliver Tree, died after a mid-air helicopter crash in Brazil on June 14, 2026. The news came as a dark day for the singer's countless fans, but many are wondering if it might be a stunt played by Oliver Tree. But there are many who know that the singer lost his life at 32 in the fatal crash, which took six people's lives, including four passengers and two pilots. Now, his ex-girlfriend, Melanie Martinez, penned a heart-wrenching note for him.
Famous singer, Melanie Martinez, who once dated Oliver Tree, penned a note for Oliver Tree after finding out about his death. For those who don't know, Oliver was killed in a horrific accident which involved the collision of two helicopters. The 32-year-old was one of the six people who lost their lives in the dual crash in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. It was also reported that YouTuber Gaspi and passengers Lucas Brito Chaves and Lucas Vignale also lost their lives, along with the pilots of the two helicopters.
Coming back to Melanie, she had dated Oliver Tree from 2019 to 2021. The two fell in love while working on projects together. Talking about their separation was on an emotional note. In fact, Melanie kept supporting and standing for him even when people tried trolling him after their breakup. In the post, Melanie revealed that the moment she heard about Oliver Tree's death, she was in a wreck. She expressed horror at finding out about the death of someone who meant so much. She wrote:
"Been an absolute wreck today. It’s really hard to understand how someone who you once shared such a specific and formative time of your life with can all of a sudden be gone. He was so dedicated to his art which I admired and respected so deeply. I think everyone who knew him will look back at those moments of laughter and joy he so easily sparked. His laugh was so contagious and warm."
Melanie further revealed that his ability to lead and take creative action while staying childlike was so inspiring. She called him after inspiring. She prayed for him and stated that he would make the angels giggle and schedule something up in heaven. She concluded the note by writing:
"His ability to lead creatively and take action while also maintaining a sense of childlike wonder and awe was so inspiring. He had such a soft heart and was a true artist in every way. Rest in peace Oliver. I know you’re making the angels giggle. I’ll be here wondering what stunt and creative project you’re scheming up in heaven. All my love."
Just before his death, Oliver Tree had talked about his plans for his will and his fortune. Oliver, in an interaction with Zach Sang, talked about his earnings and what might happen to them after his death. Oliver revealed that he is earning no money in the music industry. The singer revealed that he is just rich in terms of memories. He said:
"So many epic people I got to spend time with along the way and and now I have those memories. So, even though I won’t make any money off this… and I’ll be in debt for the next what 20-30 lifetimes probably. I mean at this point I’m not going to be seeing residuals and nor will my estate after I pass. You know what I mean? That’s true. That’s factual. Luckily I am a songwriter so my whole living has been made off just my the the actual writing side of the song."
