Odelya Halevi is all set to welcome her first child with her husband, Aaron Mazor. The actress revealed the big news to PEOPLE and shared that they are expecting a baby girl in December 2026. She recalled how she found out that she was pregnant and revealed:
"I found out I was pregnant the traditional way — peeing on a stick. It was the day after we wrapped season 25 of Law & Order, and looking back, the signs were definitely there. I had spent the entire week casually wandering into the producers' office and helping myself to all the chocolate they had sitting out, which is very unlike me. I remember thinking, 'Who is this person?' And then it hit me."
While Odelya Halevi is very excited to welcome her baby girl, the actress says there are a few things about her pregnancy that have been surprising. She recalled how the pregnancy hormones had her feeling intense emotions. She revealed that sometimes she could barely recognize herself and stated:
"The thing that I wasn't fully prepared for was how amplified and intense my emotions would be. During my first trimester, we were moving into an apartment that we had spent almost a year renovating. It was something I had been so excited about. I suddenly hated everything about it. I knew it wasn't rational. I knew I had been counting down the days until we moved in, and I knew I was overreacting."
Odelya Halevi recalled crying over a plant she had spent almost four years taking care of after the movers broke it. She added that while she realized how dramatic she was being, she still couldn't stop crying. The actress shared how her "husband found me sitting in a dark room all by myself, mourning the loss...Under any other circumstances I would have just gone out and bought another one, but I genuinely needed about a week to recover from the 'travesty.'"
Odelya Halevi revealed that one of the most special moments about her pregnancy was sharing her happy news with her husband, Aaron Mazor. She further shared that she felt her little girl kick for the first time a few days ago, and she still hasn't found the right words to express that feeling. She added:
"Just a few days ago, I felt her kick for the first time. I don't think there's a way to fully put that feeling into words. Knowing there's this little life growing inside of me, and now actually feeling her move, creates a connection that's unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's a beautiful reminder every single day of why all the challenges of pregnancy are worth it."
In the coming months, Odelya Halevi revealed that she looks forward to simply becoming a family of three. She shared that she can't wait to meet her little girl and feels like she knows her already in some ways. The actress admitted that she is excited to finally see her face, find out who she looks like, and get to know what she can only imagine will be a big personality. She concluded on a hilarious note, saying, "I'm also really looking forward to getting my lungs back...and getting off the couch in one attempt."
