The Beckham family drama continues to unfold, and most witness accounts point the finger at Nicola Peltz for Brooklyn Beckham's estrangement from his family.
Amid the highly publicised surrounding the famous Beckham family, close sources of the Beckhams, those who were a part of the much-talked-about wedding bash of Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz, are spilling the tea on what actually went down that day. After Brooklyn Beckham’s scathing allegations against his family, especially his mother, Victoria, of constantly trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola Peltz, insiders are coming forward in support of the Spice Girls star and revealing how a simple two-minute dance transpired into one of the most burning family feuds the industry has seen in recent years.
After revealing that Brooklyn and Nicola already had their first dance before Victoria’s so-called “inappropriate” moment, witnesses are opening up about what allegedly happened after the wedding music stopped.
In his eight-paragraph statement earlier this week, Brooklyn accused Victoria Beckham of “hijacking” his first dance with Nicola Peltz and dancing “inappropriately” with him. However, a source claiming to have been the butler at the 2022 Palm Beach ceremony doesn’t agree with Brooklyn’s version. In an interview with The Sun on January 23, 2026, the butler mentioned that Brooklyn and Nicola did have their official first dance earlier in the evening, sharing a romantic moment to the Elvis Presley classic, Can’t Help Falling in Love.
Everything was going smoothly, and guests were enjoying the party until Victoria stepped onto the dance floor. The source went on to explain how Victoria’s moment on the dance floor had been pre-planned and, contrary to Brooklyn’s claim, there was no “hijacking” on the singer's part.
According to the butler, who claims to have witnessed the fallout, tensions between Nicola and Victoria reached a breaking point after Victoria was called out on the dance floor. After Nicola’s dance with Brooklyn and her billionaire dad, singer Mark Anthony invited Victoria Beckham on the floor, allegedly referring to her as “the most beautiful woman in the room”. While everyone cheered, Nicola “blinked back tears”, allegedly feeling upstaged by her mother-in-law.
The butler told The Sun how she felt humiliated by the former Posh Spice’s “two minutes” of attention on the dance floor and later left the room crying. Following the wedding, the source claims that the actress issued a blunt ultimatum to Brooklyn, asking him to choose between his wife and his mother. The butler alleged:
“The truth is Nicola behaved like a brat. She completely overreacted to the notion she’d been upstaged at her own wedding. After the wedding Nicola was resolute to Brooklyn — you need to choose me or your mother. She wasn’t interested in backing down.”
While Brooklyn initially seemed to attempt some damage control, he couldn’t stand up for his mother or talk sense to his wife. After that ultimatum, the 26-year-old looked helpless and had no option but to side with his bride. The butler, who watched the drama unfold, solely blamed Nicola Peltz for Brooklyn’s estrangement with the Beckham clan. He explained:
“Nicola is the problem and the reason Brooklyn and his parents don’t talk. After the dance row, she told Brooklyn in regard to David and Victoria: ‘I don’t want to be around them, and you have a decision to make: Me or her’.”
According to close sources, yes. Speaking about the growing rift in the Beckham family, the butler mentioned that since the wedding fiasco, Nicola has put her foot down and will not meet or speak to her in-laws. Even when Brooklyn has attempted to talk sense into her, she has remained adamant about not reconciling with David and Victoria. The Bates Motel actress allegedly never even gave the Spice Girls star the option to talk things through. In the butler’s words:
“Brooklyn has tried to talk sense to Nicola, saying, ‘Come on, let’s go, we can just stay for a bit.’ She’s the reason the wedge is there. Brooklyn has wanted to go to these family events, but she says ‘No’. And he backs down.”
Notably, Brooklyn was nowhere to be seen on David Beckham’s milestone 50th birthday bash on May 2, 2025, in London. His absence has sparked speculation about family tensions. And if the butler’s recent claims are to be believed, there could be a possibility that Nicola Peltz was the reason behind the absence.
Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola has publicly responded to the latest allegations, and the Beckhams have remained largely silent as the drama unfolds in real time.
