Neve Campbell on being a part of the Scream franchise

During her appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show, Neve Campbell got candid about her experience working in the Scream franchise. Jimmy asked Neve how it feels to be a part of the film, which first came out over three decades ago. To which she laughed and shared that it has been an honour and that she is extremely grateful. She was quoted as saying:

"It's nuts. I mean, it's so odd to even consider a sequel to a film, but to consider a franchise? I mean, there aren't actually that many franchises. So to think you actually get to be a part of one and play a character for 30 years is just, like, I'm so grateful."

Neve shared that fans will get to see the 'Mama Bear' side of 'Sidney' in the upcoming film. Scream 7 has been one of the most anticipated horror movies for fans. She further added that 'Sidney' will step into the role of a mother and do everything in her power to protect her daughter from 'Ghostface'. She was quoted as saying:

"I can't say too much, but what I can say is that a wonderful actress named Isabel May plays my teen daughter in it. And we got to see that 'Sidney' in 5 was a mother, but they were young, and in this one, it's very brave of 'Sidney' to decide to be a mom and have kids, considering what happens to most of the people she loves. So, her greatest fear is that people, 'Ghostface', will come to her family, and of course, that's what happens because it's a Scream movie. So in this one, it's, you know, Mama Bear comes out."

"Randy talks about the rules, and one of them is not to have sex. Don't drink or do drugs. And never say 'I'll be right back.' For me, I think it is just know where the knives are in the house. Maybe take your chip out of your phone if you don't want people to find you. That's a good one. And I think the one you always got to do is run out the door and not up the stairs, which seems really obvious, but it's amazing how many of us are still running up the stairs."
