Newly-Weds Neha Dhupia And Angad Bedi Begin Planning For Their Wedding Reception; Details Inside

When the nation was occupied witnessing (virtually) Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja’s star-studded wedding, Qayamat actress, Neha Dhupia and Tiger Zinda Hain actor, Angad Bedi’s beautiful wedding picture shared by Karan Johar was a sweet surprise to many.

The couple got married at a hush-hush Anand Karaj ceremony with only family members and close relatives being there by their side. Soon after their quite Gurudwara wedding, the couple took to their respective social media handles and shared the news of their holy matrimony to fans and followers and wrote beautiful captions for each other. Quite like their fans, the comments of their friends from their industry also proved that the wedding was kept a secret from them as well.

Earlier reports had suggested that due to time congestion the couple had to leave for their US trip immediately after their wedding due to which they were unable to host a wedding bash for friends from the industry. It was also shared that the couple would be throwing a grand reception sometime in July where fans would see another amalgamation of tinsel town stars. And true that! Angad himself confirmed the same when he shared in an interview, “We are hoping to host a reception in the first week of July. Shaadi toh kar li, but we have to go reverse now." Well, gear up for another star-studded affair guys!

The doting hubby also shared that he is having a hard time while getting his wifey to “sit down and plan this”. Angad shared, “She needs to give me five days to figure this out. We have seen a few venues and are yet to zero in on one."

Given that Angad has close association with the cricket and Bollywood industry, finalising on a guest list looks tasking to him. He shared, “I want my close friends to be there. Right now, all of them are busy. [Ashish] Nehra is not in town. From the film industry, I want Mr [Amitabh] Bachchan and Salman [Khan] bhai to be there, and they are both caught up right now." The actor also shared how things sparked between him and Neha that led to marriage. He confessed that a casual conversation about life, one fine day, brought everything to place. He quipped, “One day, Neha and I were talking about life, and I told her I want to settle down with her. We've known each other for a while. I have been interested in her for a long time. I spoke to her parents. They loved me, especially her mother. We had the idea of having a winter wedding, but my dad [Bishan Singh Bedi] said we should keep it small. Between the cricket and Bollywood industries, we should have a guest list of 2,000 people."

As rumours had it, the couple were busy fulfilling their work commitments. It was a “now or never” situation for them for their marriage. Angad shared, “Neha is leaving for the US soon, and I am in between three projects. So, it was now or never for us”. The couple had also hosted a close-knit get-together for close friends from the industry on June 06, 2018, where everyone was seen having a gala time.
