Paul Pierce's text messages to his ex-girlfriend, Princess Santiago, have surfaced on the internet amid their child support and custody.

While the mother of the child believes that the payment should be USD 30K monthly, Paul thinks it should be USD 4K. Amid the whole discussion, Princess attached a series of text exchanges she had with Paul.
Paul and Princess are fighting for the custody and support of their newborn child. In new court documents, Princess released a series of texts which she sent to Paul after the birth of their child. One of the text message dated February 6, 2026, revealed Princess informing Paul that their son was born, and she asked him if he would like to see him. The message can be read as:
"I just wanted to let you know that your son is here. He was born today. If you'd like to see him tomorrow, let me know."
Princess shared that she did not receive any response from Paul. And then she sent another text to him on February 15, 2026, in which she talked about giving him many chances to do right as a father. She added that he was acting just like his father but her son won't be ignored. She wrote:
"I gave you so many chances to do the right thing and not have to go down this path you're letting history repeat itself, acting just like your father. My son will not be ignored or treated like the black sheep."
However, in a text reply by Paul which was sent on April 13, 2026, he stated that he just found out that it was his son and asked her if he could see him. He wrote, "Just found out today officially that's my son so anyway I can at least see him." Princess responded:
"Hello and congratulations, Paul. 99.99%. Anyway, you had the opportunity to take the test I paid for either before or after the birth. Instead, you chose not to and ignored my entire pregnancy with him; you prioritized love interests, vacations, other people and things over your son."
She added that she never kept him away from his son before or even after his birth, and she would appreciate him beginning to step forward.
In the message, she told Paul she never kept him from their son before or after his birth, adding, "I do appreciate you beginning to step forward." In another text, Princess stated that she is not going to beg Paul for being her son's father.
Talking about their support battle, Paul has clearly stated that he earns less income now since he got out of the NBA. On the other hand, Princess has been claiming that Paul has denied all the relevant financial child support. She also shared that she is not able to work as she just delivered a baby boy. Princess further stated that Paul has put no efforts in his role as a father.
She has been asking the court for sole legal and physical custody of their child as well as child support payments. The case is still ongoing. It is worth mentioning that Princess has lashed out at Paul Pierce on Father's Day. She claimed that Hall of Famer forgot all about thier baby boy.
She claimed that Paul has been failing to spend time with his newborn baby, King. Princess stated that Paul had seen the child twice since he was born. After which, Princess filed a paternity lawsuit against Paul in January 2026 while she was pregnant.
