Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleFamous influencer Nara Smith has been going through a tough phase after her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy, was diagnosed with cancer. Nara revealed that she had lingering fear that someone might share her daughter's cancer diagnosis online, and she feared what one might make out of it.
Recently, during a podcast, the content creator talked about her daughter's cancer diagnosis. She talked about the harrowing day when she found out about her daughter's diagnosis. She revealed that she found out that something was wrong with her daughter, Whimsy, when her mother-in-law pointed out something she noticed on her. After that, they took her to the ER to be sure.
While speaking with Cooper, Nara recalled the harrowing day that she and Lucky were informed by doctors that Whimsy had cancer. Nara revealed that when she took her to her daughter, he went quiet, which left her concerned, and her gut feeling had it that something was majorly wrong with her daughter. Nara was quoted as saying:
"So we walk in there and [the doctor] does [Whimsy] first. So he looks at her, and then I just remember him going quiet. He went quiet and very calm and collected, and in that moment, my heart just dropped, and there was this weird gut feeling of being like, cancer."
Nara revealed that after a week of scans, she got a call, and she knew that all was not well with her daughter. They were told that they had to start the treatment as soon as possible. She called it extremely hard, as her daughter was in remission, and she had to be in the hospital for five days, or even sixteen days.
However, what left her in extreme pain was seeing her daughter's hair fall out and her becoming nauseous due to the chemotherapy treatments. It left both the parents heartbroken and crumbled. She said:
"When I had a hard day with it, he picked me up. When he had a hard day, I picked him up, and we were like, let’s just keep going."
Nara wanted to protect her daughter from the online antics, and she feared that someone would take a video of their family during the treatment and post it online before they decided if they were ready to talk about it. Nara revealed that some fans did approach her in the hospital for pictures, and she was extremely worried. She said:
"I was always nervous that people would kind of piece it together or someone would talk or someone would whatever. And to me, her safety and privacy was the most important thing. I always came back to the fact, I don’t wanna share it... I don’t want her out there. I don’t want any of that. So then as time went on and as we went through all the treatments and had really hard days and slightly easier days, I found a lot of community in the hospital, talking to parents or the nurses or going on Reddit and, like, reading people’s stories, like, all of that."
For the unversed, in July 2026, the 24-year-old Nara shared in an Instagram Reel that her two-year-old daughter, Whimsy Lou, was diagnosed with cancer. It was a heart-wrenching moment for the mother, yet she acted calm while sharing details of her daughter's illness. She revealed that they found out about her health late last year. However, the influencer didn't share what kind of cancer Whimsy was diagnosed with or her condition.
We pray for Nara's daughter's healthy recovery.
