Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar's relationship hitting a rough patch left many of the actress' fans in shock. It all started after eagle-eyed fans claimed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Not only this, but reports also stated that Suraj had deleted all photos with Mouni Roy from his Instagram handle. On the other hand, Mouni still had a few, and now, it seems like Suraj decided to step away from social media.
Suraj and Mouni, who would often indulge in cosy PDA, left everyone surprised by unfollowing each other on Instagram. Amidst the recent development, reports claimed that the two are already separated. Now, Suraj Nmabiar's action has left further confusion among fans. He has reportedly deleted his Instagram account after the news about his separation surfaced.
Suraj's recent social media activity made many believe that their relationship actually hit a rough patch. However, it is worth noting that neither Mouni nor Suraj has officially discussed their relationship status. So far, it is just reports and speculations. But some reports claimed that Disha Patani has also unfollowed Suraj Nambiar from Instagram.
Suraj Nambiar is a Dubai-based businessman and also an investment banker. Talking about Suraj's educational front, he has studied Financial and Managerial Accounting at the London School of Economics and Political Science. After finishing his studies, he took over his father's business in Dubai.
For the unversed, Suraj Nambiar and Mouni Roy's love story started when they first met at a New Year's Eve party in 2019. Soon, they felt a connection and began dating. In January 2022, the two got married, paying ode to each other's traditions with Bengali and Malayali customs. The couple launched Ultimate Gurus, a global EdTech platform. The two also opened up their restaurant chain, Badmash, in 2023.
Earlier, on " Temptation Island India, Mouni Roy talked about her idea of love and how her husband is not her better half but her biggest supporter. She added that she is whole on her own and he is whole on his own. She was quoted as saying:
"My idea of love is very simple. It’s a mix of respect, friendship and supporting each other. I don’t believe that he (Suraj Nambiar, Mouni’s husband) is my better half, I feel he is my biggest supporter and I am his. I am whole on my own and he is whole on his own. We have chosen to be with one another. It’s friendship and union because we love one another and we choose each other every single day."
The two got married in a grand destination wedding in Goa, in January 2022. They had two wedding celebrations, one was a blended Bengali celebration, and the other was a South Indian affair. Fans loved the photos and videos of Mouni and Suraj as they took the pheras. After tying the knot with Suraj, Mouni introduced the world to her charming husband, Suraj. She had posted a couple of pictures from her wedding ceremony. Alongside it, she had narrated that she had finally found her 'mister right'. The gorgeous bride had written:
"I found him at last hand in hand, blessed by family & friends, We are married! Need your love and blessings."
