Just like Scott Bryce, Jodi Stevens has also been an actress. Notably, her family members included some talented individuals, such as her grandfather, who was the leader of a band during the ‘40s in New York City. Furthermore, her mother performed in the same band, and Jodi also underwent training under her mother to learn singing.
Jodi became the runner-up of the Miss Philadelphia pageant when she was 17 years old. She later enrolled at Penn State University, where she majored in theater. Jodi slowly started her journey on stage with an off-Broadway show, My Name is Pablo Picasso. She continued appearing on other stage productions, such as A Chorus Line and 27 Wagons Full of Cotton.
Stevens was later praised for her work in Bodyshop at the Westbeth Theatre in New York. This was followed by a lead role in Jekyll & Hyde and Urban Cowboy. Amid this, Jodi had a vocal hemorrhage while she was working on Jekyll & Hyde, forcing her to take a break from singing. She has been linked with groups such as the New York Singing Teachers Association. Jodi recalled the experience in an interview by saying:
“The question I needed to answer for myself was, how do I perform eight shows per week plus understudy rehearsals, do press events, keep auditioning for future projects and not further injure myself? How do I keep my voice? The answer was, I couldn’t. On my doctor’s orders, I went silent for several weeks. That was followed by hours and hours of voice rehabilitation, body work and mental focus and, thankfully, I recovered.”
Jodi Stevens has also established SBE Studio, where she provides conservatory-driven private lessons and group classes. Apart from the stage, Jodi even expanded her career to films and television with projects like The Summoned, Central Park West, Sex and the City, Descendant, Conviction, Younger, Law & Order, and more.
Back in 2021, Jodi Stevens revealed in an interview that she and Scott Bryce met thrice and the third meeting was when she went to audition for Central Park West in the late ‘90s. Notably, Scott also arrived at the same place for the audition, and Jodi instantly recognised him since she had a crush on him when she was 15 years old. Jodi recalled Scott telling her to get the role while she was going inside for the audition.
The duo reconnected around three years later when Scott saw Jodi on the balcony of the house near him. Notably, the house belonged to a friend of Jodi, and she had started staying at the place. Neither Jodi nor Scott was in a relationship by then. Stevens also told her friend when she saw Scott after a long time that she was going to date him.
Scott and Jodi dated for a year and tied the knot in 2003. Three years later, they had a son named Jackson. Scott said in the 2021 interview that his son has been an athlete and a basketball player. Scott also stated:
“He’s incredibly talented. He plays the piano and the violin. It’s all there, but right now he’s rejecting the business, which is fine because I did, too.”
