During their marriage, Asake built her reputation as an author and even published the book, Paris Connection: African American Paris. Despite having a strong bond, their forever ended after 25 years. In 1999, Danny filed for divorce and cited irreconcilable differences. As per reports, their divorce was finalised in 2000. Currently, Asake is an author and a popular reality TV personality. There are the moments that you keep remembering that validate the fact that you can remember stuff. And there are moments I'll never forget. I don't feel like it's the end of my life. There's work to do. I still have my daughter, I have friends. I want to just say, your life continues. In some sense acknowledging that it's happening to you and at the same time that there are millions of people suffering from it."
