Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleAndy Grammer is going through one of the best phases of his life. The 42-year-old singer revealed that he and his wife, Aijia Grammer, recently welcomed their third child, a daughter named West Lizette Grammer. What makes the timing of the baby’s arrival even more special is that she was born on June 17, 2026, just a month before he kicks off his headlining tour in support of his upcoming album, Big Stupid Heart. Amid the good news, fans have now become curious to know about Andy’s wife, Aijia.
According to reports, Aijia Grammer, just like her husband, Andy Grammer, is a singer. She has often opened up about how she comes from a “very musical family.” Aijia even likened music to being like sports for her family. She said:
“My grandfather on one side was the head of the Jazz Piano Dept at USC [University of Southern California], and my grandparents on the other side ran a music venue in Hollywood. Music was around and continuously encouraged by my parents. I always say that music was the ‘sports’ of my family."
One of Aijia’s most well-known songs is her 2023 single, Arm Candy. Many might not be aware, but she has also toured with Selena Gomez and has sung backup for Hilary Duff, Colbie Caillat, and Rachel Platten.
Aijia met her husband, Andy, for the first time in the music program at California State University, Northridge. Aijia studied there as a vocal jazz major. Andy Grammer once confessed to “really noticing” Aijia when he attempted to steal her bass player for a band that he was trying to start. Giving more details about their meeting, he said:
“I didn't ask her out at first. We were kind of just acquaintances through music, but what got me is that when my mom passed away, I would do these voice notes called ‘Kathy Grams.’”
According to Andy, these were quick little songs that he would write for people who were going through tough times. He explained that when his wife “was looking over someone who was about to pass away,” Aijia went over to write a “Kathy Gram” herself, and that's how they began to connect.
As their relationship progressed, Andy made the sweet move of proposing to Aijia at her house. He made up the house as a French restaurant and got down on one knee in front of her friends and family. Just a few months after their engagement, Andy and Aijia tied the knot in July 2012.
As we mentioned, Andy Grammer and Aijia welcomed their third child in June 2026. The duo was already parents to their daughters, Louisiana K Grammer and Israel “Izzy” Blue. Announcing the birth of his third daughter, Andy said:
“We’re officially outnumbered. We welcomed our daughter, West Lizette Grammer, on June 17. Our oldest daughter, Louie, 9, is named after Louisiana, and Izzy, 6, is Israel. We were trying to figure out if we were going to keep going with the location thing, and then from the backseat Louie said, ‘What about West?’ My wife and I were like, ‘Honestly, that’s really good,’ so we call her Westie.”
Andy praised his wife and called her an “absolute hero” as she endured hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), which is a severe pregnancy complication that Aijia experienced not only when giving birth to West but also with their other daughters. He said, “She loves our daughters. She did it, and she’s never going to do it again.”
