Adele Zaikman was born in Israel to Ukrainian parents and is fluent in three languages: Russian, Hebrew, and English. She is a dancer and currently based in Los Angeles. The pro dancer began dancing at the young age of 6 and has since completely devoted herself to the art form. On Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro, she reflected on her journey, including her diagnosis with scoliosis, and said:
"I didn't have a regular childhood. Everybody was going to the party. I did not. I went to the dance studio, and I practiced. I had to wear a brace for two and a half years for 20 hours every single day. The doctor said if I didn't do it, I would not be able to dance. So, these four hours that I was not wearing it, I was dancing. They were the happiest hours of my life. It saved me. I don't know what I would do [without] dance."
Despite the setback, the Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro winner never let go of her ambitions. One of Adele Zaikman's dreams was to become a pro on Dancing with the Stars. She called it her childhood dream and shared that it felt surreal to finally be a part of the show. Over the years, Adele has found success on the international competitive dance circuit.
In 2022, she won an event at the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival, one of the world's oldest and most celebrated ballroom competitions, held annually in Blackpool, England, according to the World Dance Foundation's database. Adele Zaikman also previously earned a third-place at the festival in 2019. That same year, Adele and her former dance partner Nikolay Chernov placed fifth at the WDC AL Open World Championships in Dublin and fourth at the Dutch Open.
Adele Zaikman also made a big impression on Derek Hough from the very first episode of Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro. After watching her perform, the guest judge gave her a nickname inspired by the one he previously bestowed on DWTS pro Daniella Karagach.
"Adele, I gave Daniella the nickname Ferrari. I'm gonna give you the nickname Rolls-Royce because you dance expensive. Really, truly, you have a full understanding of your mechanics."
The high praise brought Adele Zaikman to tears. She thanked the judge and revealed that she had long admired his skills.
The buzz around Adele Zaikman and Allen Genkin's romance began after the latter wished the pro dancer on her birthday. He wished her success, happiness, love, and health. He even commended Adele for her skin and admitted that it was his honor to be by her side.
