Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleMcCall DaPron has been facing backlash over her controversial Halloween 2026 outfit. She apparently dressed up as Jacqueline Kennedy, and her husband as John F. Kennedy on the day of his assassination. The costumes sparked instant hate as people slammed her for using the sensitive and painful reminder of the day as a costume on Halloween.
There is a thin line between playing with the emotions and dressing up for fun. Netizens were left hurt when McCall chose to dress up as Jacqueline Kennedy's on the day her husband, John F. Kennedy, was assassinated. McCall picked a rocking pink mini skirt and matching blazer while holding a bouquet of red roses.
On the other hand, her husband, Kirk DaPron, dressed up as former President John F. Kennedy. The couple had recreated the looks of the former first lady and the president on the day of his assassination. And their eight-year-old daughter, McCartney, was dressed as Caroline Kennedy, and their 2-year-old son, Banks, looked adorable as John F. Kennedy Jr.
Their other children were dressed up as Secret Service agents, and McCall captioned the post as "Happy Halloween. The Kennedys." However, after facing major backlash, she deleted the post. Netizens shared their thoughts, and one user called it "appallingly distasteful." Another wrote, "You’re dressing up as a woman on the scariest day of her life."
For those who don't know, McCall's faced backlash even before she debuted on the highly anticipated reality show The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, which will premiere on Hulu on November 12, 2026. John F. Kennedy was the 35th president who was assassinated, causing distress and years of pain to the biggest economy and the most influential families.
The costume worn by McCall was worn by Jackie Kennedy on the day of her husband's assassination. The pink suit is often considered a reminder of the darkest day of her life, and it still exists, untouched, uncleaned, and hidden from public view until the year 2103.
As per reports, the raspberry pink two-piece wool suit has been worn by Jacqueline a dozen times, but things changed on the day of her husband's assassination. After her husband was killed, Jackie removed the outfit, and her maid, Providencia Paredes, placed it in a bag and chose not to clean it. In 1964, the suit was given to the National Archives with bloodstains still on it. A note on stationery belonging to Jackie's mother, Janet Auchincloss.
The pink suit is in a custom acid-free box in the National Archives facility in College Park, Maryland. It is being ensured that the fabric remains intact. However, until 2003, the legal ownership of the suit was with Jackie's daughter, Caroline. After which, she donated it to the Archives with a strict condition that it should not be viewed by the public until 2103.
In her deed of gift, Caroline clearly stated that the family didn't want the outfit to be used in any way that could distress or dishonor the memory of her parents. It will be up to the Kennedys whether they want the public to see the real outfit.
