Director, Nagraj Manjule called Vijay Varma a fantastic actor

Director, Nagraj Manjule is known for his thoughtful projects. Some of his best-known works include Sairat, Pistulya, and Jhund, to name a few. Just a few days ago, before Matka King's OTT release, Nagraj opened up about his experience collaborating with Vijay Sharma in a candid interview. Nagraj called Vijay a fantastic actor and recalled how he used to constantly ask questions about his character on the series. This is because he wanted to give his all to the character. He constantly asks questions, wanting to understand why his character behaves a certain way in each scene. We would often sit together to discuss scenes before shooting. Since I like to leave some room for spontaneity and last-minute changes, Vijay’s questions pushed us beyond our limits and helped us bring out the best in every scene, because Matka King is a game of details."

The morality of a middle-class man differs from that of a wealthy man, just as it differs from that of a poor man. Brij wants to challenge this notion. He wants to ask: if a man of means is permitted to dream, why shouldn't a man like him be allowed to do the same? If a wealthy man can gamble with his destiny, why can't he?"
