From taking care of President Droupadi Murmu and looking after her smallest unsaid need to playing with the children, the Major has successfully won the title of National Crush, and people of all ages shower him with love. Recently, it was revealed that the Major has taken premature retirement from the Indian Army.

According to online reports, Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal used to earn roughly INR 1.35 lakh to INR 3.5 lakh per month, depending on his service length. However, the exact personal salary or net worth figures are not made public by the military.

Who is Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal?

Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal rose to fame for his service and time with President Droupadi Murmu. He recently took premature retirement from the Indian Army and became a household name while serving as Aide-de-Camp to the President. 

The former ADC became a nationwide name in 2021 as a Captain in the Jat Regiment. The news of Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal's retirement surfaced after Rashtrapati Bhavan's official digital photo library made his departure public by listing him as a retired former ADC. He left the post in August 2026 and met the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 21, 2026, and photos of the meeting have been going viral. He described his visit as an opportunity to express his gratitude to the President for her guidance and blessings.

For the unversed, Rishabh Singh Sambyal cleared the National Defence Academy exam in 2013 and joined the 133rd NDA course in 2014. He later got Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs in 2017. It was around the same time he joined the Indian Military Academy and pursued Military Studies and Defence Management. 

During his service, he was leading Jat Regiment's contingent at 2021 Republic Day Parade and he also won the presigtigious Best Marching Contingent Trophy. He also served in the elite 4 Para Special Forces known as the Daggers and got the Balidan Badge, which is a rare honour given to only small fraction of volunteers.

Talking about Rishabh's background, he comes from a Dogra Rajput family of Jammu and Kashmir. Rishabh Singh Sambyal served for the Indian Army for a total of 12 years. He started his journey from Lieutenant, Captain, Major to Aide-de-Camp posts. He was then selected for one of the most prestigious and secret assignment in the armed forced of being President's ADCs in March 2023 as per Rishabh's LinkedIn profile. The description on his LinkedIn profile can be read as:

"Military professional with 12 years of experience leading cross-functional teams, high-pressure operations, and strategic planning across challenging global environments. Most recently served as Aide-de-Camp to the President of India, directing high-stakes protocol management, executive security, and seamless itinerary coordination for top-tier national and international engagements. Adept at cross-agency collaboration, having worked closely with the Prime Minister’s Office, foreign dignitaries, and central ministries while executing official diplomatic tours across eight countries."

His expertise includes strategic leadership, risk and crisis management, tactical communication and operational planning. Rishabh on his profile also mentioned that he had been recognised with the Presidential Service Badge and Commendation Cards from the Chief and Vice Chief of Army Staff.

Talking about his retirement, Rishabh Singh Sambyal took premature reitrement due to personal and family reasons. In an Instagram Live video, Major Rishabh Singh shared that in everyone's life there are situations and instances which change your life forever. He added that he has no immeidate marriage plans.
