Katrina Kaif Wishes Deepika Padukone On Her Wedding, Though She Was Dropped Out Of The Guest List

After second-handedly witnessing the union of B-town's most heart-warming couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, we have literally spent hours obsessing over their Konkani and Sindhi wedding pictures. From Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Anand S Ahuja to Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Sophie Choudry, Bipasha Basu, Abhishek Bachchan amongst others couldn’t stop gushing over the newly-weds. But one comment that caught our attention was of Katrina Kaif. Well, it is a known fact that the binary between Deepika and Katrina is a bitter one and they don’t share an amicable bond.

On November 15, 2018, when Deepika shared the wedding pictures on her social media handle, Katrina commented on the same, “@deepikapadukone congratulations to you both” followed by a heart emoji. After looking at her comment, it seems like she has let the bygones be bygones and is not letting their past come between the happiness and love of today.

The bitterness in Deepika and Katrina’s relationship began when Deepika’s ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor started dating Katrina and allegedly cheated on her because of the latter. Initially, things turned sour between Deepika and Ranbir as well, but they moved on and are now a quintessential example of ‘How To Remain Friends With Your Ex-Flame’.

On Neha Dhupia’s show, BFFs with Vogue, in a segment ‘Say It Or Strip It’, when Deepika was asked if Katrina will be invited to her wedding or not, Deepika without any second thought replied, “No”. Recently, in a Koffee With Karan episode in which Katrina Kaif and Varun Dhawan featured, they along with Karan Johar talked about the upcoming Bollywood weddings.

It all started when Karan asked Varun about his marriage plans with his childhood love, Natasha Dalal, and said, “You have to tell us Varun because we are very busy. We have to wait for the images of Deepika and Ranveer's wedding to come out too. Not that I'm invited to the wedding.” To which, Katrina added, “I'm excited about the wedding. I want to wear really nice clothes and attend it. But I’m not invited. On July 16, 2018, when Katrina ringed in her 35th birthday, she shared a picture on social media and wrote, "My 21st birthday today… ok fine... plus a few more years credit my MOM" Deepika commented on her post to wish her and wrote, “Happy Birthday! Wishing you good health and happiness always” followed by a heart emoticon.

Even Ranbir Kapoor’s current girlfriend, Alia Bhatt is in awe with the newly-weds after they released their wedding pictures. Alia posted an Insta story and shared the couple’s picture with “Congratulations you stunners @ranveersingh @deepikapadukone” written atop of it followed with a lot of heart emojis. Commenting on Deepika’s post, Alia wrote, “Uff” followed by heart emoticons.

Deepika and Ranveer will host a wedding reception in Mumbai on December 1, 2018, for all their friends from the industry. Another reception will take place on November 21, 2018, in Bengaluru for their families. Another invitation card for November 28, 2018, wedding reception went viral on social media which could be read as, “Please join us at a reception to celebrate the wedding of our son Ranveer and Deepika. Wednesday, 28th November, 2018. 8.00 PM Onwards. The Grand Hyatt, Mumbai”.
