She even left cryptic messages for her over 5 million followers like “Bye” and “Congratulations, you won, I give up,” before she deleted everything.
Kate has been clearly struggling after the death of her close ones, including her mother. In her personal life, Kate was married to Len Wiseman. Before that, she was in a long-term relationship with actor Michael Sheen.
During an interview with Extra, Kate Beckinsale opened up about her romantic history. She confessed that she doesn't exactly have the most conventional experience. Kate also admitted that she doesn't have a dating life because she tends to get too serious with her romantic partners too fast.
Explaining how she gets into relationships, Kate said that she would meet someone at work and then go on to marry them or get pregnant. In her exact words:
"I've never really been on a date, I literally meet someone, get to know them at work, and then either marry them or get pregnant by them."
Kate was likely referring to her relationships with Michael Sheen and Len Wiseman. Kate dated Michael from 1995 to 2003, during which they welcomed a daughter named Lily. Following this, Kate got married to Len Wiseman, whom she met while filming Underworld in 2004. The duo stayed together for 11 years until their divorce in 2019.
But despite her theory about her dating life, Kate has not always married the people she got romantically involved with. For instance, in 2019, she dated comedian Pete Davidson. At the time, their relationship was the talk of the town, especially after they were spotted engaging in some serious PDA at a hockey game.
Later in the same year, Kate was also romantically linked to Canadian rapper Goody Grace. Kate Beckinsale had to defend herself and their relationship against criticism due to their massive age difference. When an angry Instagram user questioned the Jolt actress about why she always dated men who could easily pass off as her children, Kate snarkily replied, “Every relationship I have had has been to solely annoy you.”
Additionally, even though Kate Beckinsale claimed that she has never been on a proper date, it seems like she isn't really interested in being set up either. Admitting that she has zero interest in blind dates, she said:
“I just can't think of anything I'd hate more than sitting in front of somebody I don't know, that chances are I won't like, and have to sit and watch them eat food.”
Recently, Kate Beckinsale shared a black image on Instagram with a single word, “bye.” Within a few minutes, the actress shared another concerning message on her Instagram Stories. Alongside an image of a rainbow shining across a road intersection, she wrote, “Congratulations, you won, I give up.”
After Kate Beckinsale deleted all her Instagram posts following this, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that she left one link attached to her Instagram bio. The link in question was to a BBC article that was written about a television presenter named Caroline Flack, who had died by suicide in 2020.
In the past few years, Kate has been open about her personal challenges, including how she was dealing with grief after the death of her close ones. She especially noted that the death of her stepfather, Roy Battersby, and her mother, Judy Rose, has emotionally impacted her in such a way that they are now affecting her physical health.
