Karoline Leavitt made history as she became the White House press secretary at the age of 27. Karoline, who has a glamorous career, got married to her husband, a real estate developer, Nicholas Nicco, in January 2025. While she was 27, her husband was 59, and this instantly became the talk of the town. Reports claimed that Karoline met Nicholas when she was 25 years old, and soon their journey towards a beautiful life began. The duo got engaged in 2024, and in the same year, they welcomed their first child, a baby boy, whom they adorably named Niko.
Karoline and Nicholas married in 2025, and now, the couple is expecting their second child, a baby girl, as per Fox News Digital. Amid the announcement of Karoline Leavitt's second pregnancy, her age gap with her husband again became the talk of the town, and an old statement resurfaced in which she addressed the issue and admitted that she was 'hesitant' at first, too.
According to PEOPLE, it was in 2022, when Karoline was running for a congressional seat in New Hampshire, that she met Nicholas Riccio. One of Karoline's friends invited the duo to a party, and it was the first time that they met. Back then, Karoline was 25 years old, and as they say, 'age is just a number', the White House press secretary also didn't pay much attention to it and fell in love.
For the unversed, Karoline and Riccio got engaged in 2024, and after the same in July 2024, the duo welcomed their baby boy. In January 2025, Karoline got married to Nicholas, just before Trump's inauguration. The duo's wedding reportedly took place at the Wentworth By the Sea Country Club in Rye, N.H.
Well, the 32-year age gap was also a factor that made her hesitant. Talking about the same, in an interview on The Megyn Kelly Show, Karoline Leavitt said that she was hesitant at first, and it's a very 'atypical' love story, but her husband is an incredible human being. She called him her 'best friend', her 'rock', and the 'best dad' to her child. Talking about her husband, Karoline said:
"I mean it's a very atypical love story but he's incredible. He's the father of my child and he's the best dad I could ever ask for. And he is so supportive, especially during a very chaotic period of life... I say, ‘I walked into your life and it's been a circus ever since,’ but God bless him because he's fully on board."
Karoline Leavitt and Nicholas Riccio will welcome their second child, a baby girl, in May 2026. As per Fox News Digital, Karoline Leavitt shared that she is just thrilled that she and her husband are all set to welcome their second child and that their baby boy is all set to become a big brother.
Karoline further added that she thinks that 'motherhood' is the closest thing to 'heaven' on Earth. She further talked about her West Wing colleagues, who support each other, being parents. Expressing her gratitude, Karoline told Fox News Digital:
"My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth. Nearly all of my West Wing colleagues have babies and young children, so we all really support one another as we tackle raising our families while working for the greatest president ever."
