The buzz was surprising given that it was less than 10 months ago, when Margaret Qualley spoke about feeling authentic while being with her husband, Jack, and in a recent interview, Jack said that he loved being married to the actress. However, he was seen attending Taylor Swift's wedding without his wife. Reports claimed that Jack attended the pre-wedding party and the wedding ceremony with his sister, Rachel and his wife was nowhere to be seen. This incident fuelled the buzz even more. However, Page Six reported that Margaret was super busy with her projects and thus she couldn't join the ceremony.
The buzz around them continued to go on, which reached an ultimatum as Margaret recently deleted all her wedding photos with Jack. Amid this, Page Six revealed the alleged reason for Jack and Margaret's split. If the report is to be believed, sources shared that Jack liked things to be done in a certain way, and he would prefer the way that he thought to be the best, and Margaret had a feeling that her perspectives were unheard and didn't carry that much weight, for that matter. According to the source, communication became challenging between the duo. The source could be quoted as saying:
"Jack could be very particular about how he liked things. He’d often prefer for things to be done the way he thought was best, and Margaret didn’t always feel like her perspective was being heard or given the same weight. Communication was definitely a challenge between him and Margaret."
Jack Antonoff didn't react to all this speculation, and neither did Margaret; however, it was reported that on the day speculation about the couple's split surfaced in several publications (July 8), he was seen wearing his wedding ring. However, sources revealed to PEOPLE that the phase of Jack and Margaret's marriage has been 'rocky' and that they were figuring things out.
Netizens have noticed that it has been months since Margaret gave a slight hint at the trouble in paradise. Reportedly, a few weeks back, she changed her social media handle's ID, which earlier was a reference to Jack's song. On the other hand, it was also noticed that Bleachers had removed the song, Margaret from their Bleachers Forever tour setlist after performing the song on June 13, 2026.
The couple reportedly met at a rooftop party just after COVID-19, and a year later, they exchanged rings. Two years after their meeting, Jack and Margaret got married. While speaking about their bond, Margaret revealed in an interview with Cosmopolitan that she had several relationships in her life, and every time, she felt that she was not herself because she wanted to be the perfect girlfriend for her partners, and it would eventually not be her authentic self. However, with Jack, she said that she had to be her true self because she would not lie to Jack, who would see through her. Jack, on the other hand, said to i-D magazine:
"The second I met my partner a cynical part of me died—the very Jewish, analytical, endlessly-weighing-everything part.”
