The drama around Taylor Frankie Paul's life doesn't seem to end. It all began when her ex-partner, Dakota Mortensen filed a legal case against her for the custody of their son, Ever True. In recent times, reality TV personality, Mikayla Matthews has also become a part of it as she got into an argument with Taylor. Mikayla's statements frustrated fans, who eventually slammed her for being insensitive. Amid that, Mikalya's husband, Jace Terry has stepped in to defend her.
For the unversed, the controversy around Mikayla and Taylor began after the latter's legal case with Dakota Mortensen. Due to the case, Taylor's friends from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives started distancing themselves. One of them was Mikayla. Later, some eagle-eyed fans noticed Mikayla liking posts, which criticised Taylor. When this turned into an online debate, Mikayla publicly shared her thoughts on the same.
Taylor Frankie Paul felt targeted with this and she eventually shared a post on her social media, in which she accused some of her friends of leaving her during her tough time. While Taylor did not name Mikayla Matthews, fans understood what the former wanted to say. During this time, some fans of Taylor started criticising Mikayla and called her 'insensitive'. However, now Mikayla Matthews' husband replied to a user slamming her.
Recently, one of Taylor Frankie Paul’s fans shared a TikTok in support of her. The fan criticised Mikayla Matthews for her statements against Taylor. However, before anyone could reply, Mikayla’s husband, Jace Terry stepped in to defend his wife. He called out Taylor’s action and shared:
"She also is notorious for blasting people publicly w/o private communication. The way you defend Taylor is genuinely like she's a cult leader. Both her and Mikayla are going to make mistakes."
It is worth mentioning that Mikayla Matthews has been facing backlash since a few days now. Before her husband, Jace stepped in to defend her, the reality TV personality had also stood up for herself and slammed a few fans. Days ago, when a user called her ‘very rude’, Mikayla fired back by saying, "I'd genuinely love to see how you'd handle being in the same position we're in. If you feel entitled to comment on our life, don't be surprised when we respond. I'm not someone who switches up my opinions just to save face online."
For those unaware, Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen were once one of the most talked-about couples. Fans admired them for their strong bond and chemistry. However, they faced multiple problems in their relationship. Despite that, they welcomed a son named Ever True in 2024. Eventually, things took a U-turn, when Dakota filed a case against Taylor for the custody of their son. He pointed out Taylor’s aggressive and violent nature.
Eventually, the court granted Ever’s custody to Dakota Mortensen with some time per week for Taylor Frankie Paul. However, for Mother’s Day, the court had allowed Taylor to spend nearly 12 hours with her son. It is worth noting that it was on Mother’s Day, when the reality TV personality penned a long note on her Instagram handle, calling out some of her friends, including Mikayla Matthews.
