The Coldplay Kiss Cam scandal may have been one of the biggest highlights of 2025, taking the internet by storm, and it continues to return to the spotlight for some reason or another. Ever since former Astronomer HR head Kristin Cabot was caught on the jumbotron cosying up with then-boss Andy Byron, the affair has sparked headlines worldwide, forcing the lovers to resign from Astronomer. And now, Kristin Cabot has stepped forward to "take back the narrative".

Kristin Cabot is ready to rewrite her story after extreme public shaming

After months of silence and huge changes in her personal life, the ex-Astronomer HR Chief is ready to take back her narrative. Kristin Cabot is set to be a keynote speaker at PRWeek’s 2026 Crisis Comms Conference with PR Hall of Famer Dini von Mueffling for a 30-minute discussion session titled "Kristin Cabot: Taking Back the Narrative". A segment from the conference's website reads:

“At PRWeek Crisis Comms in DC, we’re diving deep into one of the most explosive personal brand crises of the decade. Kristin Cabot’s life ‘blew up’ last July after a fleeting moment at a Coldplay concert became a global obsession. This isn't just a story; it's a technical use case in survival. During this session, Cabot will be joined by her PR counsel, industry icon Dini von Mueffling, to break down the exact PR architecture used to fight back against a 300-billion-view frenzy."

The website has already listed the ticket prices for the discussion, which will include 12 other keynote speakers. For the crisis conference, which takes place on April 16, 2026, in D.C., ticket prices will range from USD 750 to USD 875. The website claims that whoever shells out big bucks to attend the conference will get a crucial lesson on how to "pivot at a moment's notice for unexpected occurrences that are now the norm, not the exception."

The viral kiss-cam scandal that made Kristin Cabot a target of public shaming

In case you missed one of last summer’s most viral moments, Kristin Cabot, 53, found herself at the centre of a jaw-dropping scandal after her affair with her married boss was exposed in the most brutal way possible: on a stadium jumbotron, in front of thousands of people, during a live broadcast. On July 16, 2025, at Coldplay’s Boston concert, the mother of two was caught snuggling with her then-boss, Andrew Byron, when the camera zoomed in on them on the 'Kiss Cam'.

They looked like a couple in love sharing a cosy moment before they panicked, realising thousands were watching. Kristin and Andy, with the fear evident in their eyes, quickly ducked away from the camera to hide their faces, but the damage had been done. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin even teased from the stage, joking they were either "having an affair or just very shy."

While the lovers soon hid their faces after realising they were on the Jumbotron, the damage was done. The former Astronomer executives became an overnight sensation, causing a deluge of memes on social media, and the whole internet was talking about it. In fact, Andy Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, had also shared the viral moment on her Instagram Stories, and the world immediately knew that the scandal would lead to a trail of fallouts.

Immediately after the extramarital affair was exposed, Kristin, who was the Chief People Officer at Astronomer, resigned from her position, admitting that she "made a bad decision". Meanwhile, Andy resigned from the CEO role, stepped back from public appearances, and has since remained largely silent. Speaking about her public shaming, the upcoming conference's website states:

“Cabot experienced firsthand the extremity of public shaming that women have long experienced when in the negative spotlight of the media, one their male counterparts often seem to avoid. During this session, the former Astronomer chief people officer and her PR representative, industry legend Dini von Mueffling, share the strategy — both immediate and long-term — that has helped Cabot take control of her narrative and rewrite her story."

While Byron has remained mum, Cabot jumped into the limelight and gave several interviews in December in which she bemoaned the “scarlet letter” she said was branded upon her. However, regarding her upcoming conference, users are scoffing at the ticket prices, with some even joking that it costs more than an average Coldplay ticket.

What are your thoughts on Kristin Cabot's selection as a keynote speaker in the crisis conference? Do you think the ticket prices are valid?
