She addressed her late husband as 'heart' and stated that it had been two weeks since Dharmendra left her heartbroken. Hema Malini added that she is slowly trying to reconstruct her life, which has been shattered with the passing of her husband, who would turn 90 years old on December 8, 2025.
Hema Malini recalled the joyous days of staying with Dharmendra and added that the memories can never be erased. She also wished for his peace in the afterlife while wishing him happy birthday. The Deol family has been navigating the grieving pain with the passing of Dharmendra. Even before this, a sense of tense atmosphere was around in the family, given the actor's ill health. He was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital and received treatment, following which, he reportedly recovered and returned home. However, on November 24, 2025, Dharmendra passed away.

Later, it was revealed that there was a last-minute change of plans in the Deol house, and the event would be held at the actor's Mumbai house, as the family wished it to be a private ceremony rather than making it public just yet.
