Hema Malini, at the prayer meet of her husband, Dharmendra broke down as she remembered him and talked about their beautiful bond.
Bollywood's He-Man, Dharmendra, left a hollow in the hearts of his fans, friends, and family members with his passing on November 24, 2025. Dharmendra, who had been in the industry for 65 years, had more than 300 films to his credit. With his passing, the entire industry was left with sadness. The Deol family has been navigating a tough phase of life, and recently, Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, and Hema Malini hosted a separate prayer meet for Dharmendra. In the clips that made their way to social media, Dharmendra's wife, Hema Malini, was seen breaking down as she remembered him and talked about their bond.
In a video, Hema Malini shared that she has been associated with Dharmendra for 57 years. She shared that when she first came to the industry, since then, she has worked with her late husband, and together they did 45 films, among which 25 films were superhits. Hema Malini mentioned that the entire industry and even the audience gave them a whole lot of love.
In the viral clips, Hema Malini mentioned that the person she did a lot of films with turned out to be her life partner eventually. The actress added that she and Dharmendra had pure love for each other, and they together could fight everything in life, which led them to get married eventually. According to Hema Malini, Dharmendra was a devoted life partner and a strong pillar of support who helped her in every phase of life through every tough decision.
Hema Malini broke down in tears and mentioned that she never thought she would have to host a prayer meet, that, too, for her husband. She added that the entire world is mourning the loss, while for her, it's a shock. Hema Malini could be quoted as saying:

On December 8, 2025, Hema Malini took to her social media and penned down an emotional note on the 90th birth anniversary of Dharmendra. Hema Malini recalled the days that she spent with Dharmendra, while adding that the memories could never be erased. The actress, in the note, further wished for Dharmendra's peace in the afterlife while wishing him a happy birthday. The note was filled with emotion, heartbreak, and reminiscing, and it spoke volumes about the hard phase that the actress is currently navigating, after losing her husband.
For the unversed, Dharmendra was hospitalised for several days, and during that time, a death hoax spread. Later, the Deol family clarified that Dharmendra was alright, and he was eventually taken home. However, it was on November 24, 2025, when the actor bid farewell to the world. As per his close ones, he was recovering, but his age didn't support him later. The actor, who was a gem of the industry, will be last seen in the movie, Ikkis.
