Pakistani batter, Babar Azam, is one of the most well-known batsmen in Pakistan. However, he has faced a lot of cri**nal allegation by a Pakistani lady called, Hamiza Mukhtar. A long-running dispute and case has been filed against the cricketer by the lady. In many of the South Asian courts and in the Lahore High Court, Hamiza and Babar's names became famous ever since she filed the first petition.
According to a report by the Tribune, Hamiza is from Lahore, Pakistan, and she came into the public eye back in 2020 when she had reportedly filed legal complaints against Babar Azam, who was back then Pakistan's top international cricket captain. A report by the Tribune mentioned that Hamiza had a personal relationship with the cricketer. She alleged of being se**ally harassed, abu**, along with the cricketer promising her false marriage. The report mentioned that Hamiza alleged of being coerced into abortion. These claims have reportedly been presented in a Lahore court, but a final verdict has not been issued.
The report mentioned that Hamiza had told the court that Babar and she were together since sometime and she was assau**ed post being promised marriage by him. The report also stated that Barrister Haris Azmat, who was Babar's senior lawyer, had not appeared in the court, and his junior lawyer had adjourned the case. Hamiza reportedly made strong claims against the cricketer of being persuaded to abort her baby, which she has done under pressure. She had claimed that the cricketer had not honoured the promise that he had made after receiving success.
Hamiza reportedly had also attached her medical documents and claimed that the cops had refused to file an FIR against the cricketer after she complained of fornication and blackmail. The case has been pending, reportedly, since 2021. The court observed that a request of postponement is always made as the cricketer never appeared in the court. A report by Mathrubhumi also claimed that Babar Azam reportedly owned Hamiza Mukhtar Rs. 1.2 million. The case was adjourned until 2024, and the report stated that it had been sent to Justice Asjad Jabed Ghural for further proceedings. The case was earlier heard at Justice Waheen Khan's court, and a stay order was also issued against the cricketer.
Multiple reports on social media alleged that Hamiza was summoned after she filed a se**al ha**ssment case against Babar Azam. According to her Facebook page, which is not verified, Hamiza reportedly alleged in a video that she does not know Babar Azam and that she has never had any relationship with him. BollywoodShaadis could not independently verify the details or determine whether Hamiza's claims are true or false. However, in the viral clip, she said:
"Mera Babar Azam se koi taluk nai hai, na tha. Agar media mei koio video chalaye toh woh meri marzi ke khilaf hai. Maine Babar Azam se na koi taluk rakha pehle na hai."
A report by The Times of India mentioned that Lahore-based Hamiza was blackmailing the cricketer and was demanding Rs. 10 million to drop her case and the varied allegations. She has been accused of fraud and hara**ing the cricketer. At the sessions court in Lahore it was observed that Hamiza reportedly used delayed tactics to extend the trial so that she could hara** the cricketer. However, Hamiza then demanded Rs. 2 million and reportedly, the cricketer did not pay her a single paisa.
