Govinda sat down for an interview with IANS and spoke about his wife, Sunita Ahuja's abusive language. The personal lives of Govinda and Sunita have been in the limelight ever since comments about their marriage surfaced. Govinda revealed that Sunita's repeated abusive behaviour has made words like 'mother' and 'sister' cheap. He referred to them as 'sasta'. In his words:
"This is not expected from you. Youngsters expect you to behave in a way that they will follow it. So, if people start abusing your mother and sister, then we will all be very embarrassed. Don't do this."
Govinda had added that he would like to tell his wife, Sunita Ahuja, that she has started using a lot of abusive language directed at her mother and sister. A user seeing Govinda's recent statement on Sunita said, "Ghar nahi hai kya inka ladne ke liye? Camera pe aake kya drama kar rahe hain. Are yaar yeh pakka koi publicity stunt hai, because Sunita ji ki dahshat bahut hai."
A Govinda fan also said, "We love Govinda. Jee lo apni jindgi..hata sawan ki ghata. Some also felt that Sunita Ahuja was correct. In recent months, Sunita has openly spoken about Govinda's various affairs. She had earlier revealed that she tolerated everything that Govinda did as she loved her husband.
The latest controversy intensified after Govinda was recently spotted at an airport with newcomer actress Komal Rani Swarnkar, who has been linked to him amid rumours of a relationship. Sunita Ahuja had suggested that Govinda's rumoured love interest, Komal Rani Swarnkar, needed to groom well and dress properly, knowing that her sugar daddy is rich. She had further stated:
"Beti ki umar ki ladki lekar ghoom raha hai, shame on him."
When shutterbugs asked Sunita about Govinda promoting Roopa with Komal, she reportedly said, “First of all, the movie should be made. Promotion happens after the movie is complete.” Govinda's wife, Sunita, was last seen in the reality show Lock Upp. She was seen using abusive language in a very casual manner, especially when the topic was around Govinda. Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Sunita Ahuja had stated that she treats 2025 as a very bad year for herself. She revealed that she tolerated everything that Govinda did as she loved him. Sunita has also lived with Govinda's extended family. In her words:
"I’ve been hearing about Govinda’s controversy that he is having an affair with a girl, but I know that she’s not an actress because actresses don’t do such bad things. She doesn’t love him; she only wants his money. I want Govinda to put an end to all these controversies, and I want a happy family in 2026. I hope it happens very soon. I am hoping that Govinda realises that the most important things in his life are three women: his mother, his wife, and his daughter."
Sunita Ahuja, speaking further about Govinda, revealed that no one has the right to keep the fourth woman in their life. This is true for every man in the world, including her husband. She wants Chi Chi to leave all his chamchas and focus on his work because even they are with him for money.
