Ernie Anastos was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, Ernie Anastos, and he belonged to a family that valued education over hard work. He bagged a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University in Boston, and then he enrolled in management studies at Harvard Business School. He began his career as a radio journalist, under the name of Ernie Andrews, while working at 98.5/WROR in Boston. Then, he moved to television journalism and started working with WPRI-TV in Providence. In 1978, he joined hands with WABC-TV in New York, and this step helped him to mark his presence in the New York broadcast scene.
He also collaborated with WNYW-TV Fox 5, and reportedly, in 2005, a 5-year contract took place between the channel and the journalist, which was a USD 10 million deal.
